"Blog Y2 607 - Is My Temple Truly Holy?"

Then He taught, saying to them, ‘Is it not written, “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations”? But you have made it a “den of thieves.” Mark 11:17.

Our Lord Jesus reminded the people of the original purpose of God’s house: to be a house of prayer for all nations, a sacred place set apart for communion with God, intercession, and worship. However, what was meant to be holy had been turned into a place of greed and corruption.

Today, there are two kinds of temples we must consider:

• The physical church, built with bricks and stones.
• Our own bodies, which are the living temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

If we neglect the holiness of our inner temple, our body and soul, how can the physical church reflect true worship? “When our personal lives are consecrated to God, the churches we gather in will naturally become places of genuine prayer and worship.”

Let us therefore examine ourselves. Are we treating our bodies as temples of the Living God? Are our thoughts, words, and actions aligned with what pleases the Holy Spirit? If anything within us has become like the “den of thieves,” may the Lord Jesus drive it out with His righteous zeal and restore us to purity. 

Likewise, let us be good stewards of our churches. May our places of worship remain sanctified, focused on glorifying God, centered in prayer, and welcoming to all nations. Jeremiah 7:11 says: “Has this house, which is called by My name, become a den of thieves in your eyes? Behold, I, even I, have seen it,” says the Lord.”

Reflection: Am I honoring the sacredness within me, keeping my body and soul pure as a dwelling for the Spirit? Do my actions contribute to making the church a true place of prayer and worship?

என்னுடைய வீடு எல்லா ஜனங்களுக்கும் ஜெபவீடு என்னப்படும் என்று எழுதியிருக்கவில்லையா? நீங்களோ அதைக் கள்ளர் குகையாக்கினீர்கள் என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லி உபதேசித்தார். மாற்கு 11:17

நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு, தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் உண்மையான நோக்கத்தை மக்களுக்கு நினைவூட்டினார். அது எல்லா தேசங்களுக்கும் ஜெப வீடாக இருக்க வேண்டும், தேவனுடன் ஐக்கியம் கொள்ளவும், பரிந்து பேசவும், அவரை ஆராதிக்கவும் ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு புனித இடமாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்றார். ஆனால், பரிசுத்தமாக இருக்க வேண்டியது பேராசையாலும் ஊழலினாலும் நிறைந்த ஒரு இடமாக மாற்றப்பட்டிருந்தது.

இன்று, நாம் கருத்தில் கொள்ள வேண்டிய இரண்டு வகையான ஆலயங்கள் உள்ளன:

• செங்கற்களாலும் கற்களாலும் கட்டப்பட்ட ஆலயம்.
• பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரின் ஜீவனுள்ள ஆலயமாகிய நம்முடைய சரீரங்கள் (1 கொரிந்தியர் 6:19-20).

நம்முடைய உள்ளான ஆலயத்தின், அதாவது நம் சரீர மற்றும் ஆத்மாவின் பரிசுத்தத்தை நாம் புறக்கணித்தால், சரீர ஆலயங்கள் எவ்வாறு உண்மையான வழிபாட்டைப் பிரதிபலிக்கும்? “நம் தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்க்கை தேவனுக்கு அர்ப்பணிக்கப்படும்போது, நாம் கூடிவரும் திருச்சபைகள் இயல்பாகவே உண்மையான ஜெபத்திற்கும் வழிபாட்டிற்கும் உரிய இடங்களாக மாறும்.”

ஆகவே, நாம் நம்மை நாமே ஆராய்ந்து பார்ப்போம். நம்முடைய சரீரங்களை ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய ஆலயங்களாக நடத்துகிறோமா? நம்முடைய எண்ணங்கள், வார்த்தைகள் மற்றும் செயல்கள் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவருக்குப் பிரியமானவற்றுடன் ஒத்திருக்கிறதா? நமக்குள்ளே ஏதேனும் "கள்ளர் குகையைப்" போல மாறியிருந்தால், கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு தம்முடைய நீதியான வைராக்கியத்தால் அதை வெளியேற்றி, நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிப்பாராக.

அதேபோல், நம்முடைய திருச்சபைகளுக்கு நல்ல பொறுப்பாளர்களாக இருப்போம். நம்முடைய வழிபாட்டுத் தலங்கள் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தப்பட்டு, தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்துவதில் கவனம் செலுத்தி, ஜெபத்தை மையமாகக் கொண்டு, எல்லா தேசங்களையும் வரவேற்பதாக நிலைத்திருக்கட்டும். எரேமியா 7:11 சொல்லுகிறது: “என் நாமம் தரிக்கப்பட்ட இந்த ஆலயம் உங்கள் பார்வைக்குக் கள்ளர்குகையாயிற்றோ? இதோ, நானும் இதைக் கண்டேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.”

சிந்திக்க: நான் எனக்குள் பரிசுத்தமாக இருந்து, என் சரீரத்தையும் ஆத்துமாவையும் ஆவியானவர் வாசம் செய்யும் இடமாகப் பரிசுத்தமாக வைத்திருக்கின்றேனா? என் செயல்கள், திருச்சபையை ஜெபத்திற்கும் ஆராதனைக்கும் உண்மையான இடமாக மாற்ற உதவுகின்றனவா?
