"Blog Y2 549 - Safe in His Presence"

Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. Psalm 90:1.

This profound psalm was written by Moses, the man of God, chosen and used by the Lord to lead the Israelites through the wilderness. He witnessed countless marvelous and miraculous acts of the Almighty and came to a powerful realization: God’s presence is the only true place of peace, safety, and security. That is why Moses longed never to be apart from Him.

We, too, can relate. In this chaotic and unpredictable world, there is no safer, more peaceful dwelling than the presence of our God. He is not only our refuge today, but He has been the safe haven for every generation before us, and He will continue to be for those to come.

Let us boldly and joyfully confess this eternal truth throughout our lives: The Lord is our refuge, our strong tower, our dwelling rock, and in Him alone we place our trust. Even before the foundations of the earth were laid, God Almighty has been the eternal home for His people. What a privilege and blessing it is to belong to Him, to call Him our God, our Lord, and our Savior! Psalm 91:1 says: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."

Reflection: Am I truly seeking God’s presence as my only source of peace, safety, and security, just as Moses did when he recognized that nothing in the world could replace the dwelling place of the Almighty?

ஆண்டவரே, தேவரீர் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக எங்களுக்கு அடைக்கலமானவர். சங்கீதம் 90:1.

இந்த ஆழ்ந்த அர்த்தமுள்ள சங்கீதம் தேவனுடைய மனுஷனாகிய மோசேயால் எழுதப்பட்டது, இஸ்ரவேலரை வனாந்தரத்தின் வழியாக வழிநடத்த கர்த்தரால் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டு பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டவர். அவர் சர்வவல்லவரின் எண்ணற்ற அதிசயங்களையும் விசித்திர செயல்களையும் அவர் கண்டார். மற்றும் அவர் ஒரு மிக முக்கிய உண்மையை உணர்ந்தார்: தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்த சத்துவமே உண்மையான சமாதானம், பாதுகாப்பு, நம்பிக்கையின் இடம் என்பதைக் கண்டுபிடித்தார். அதனால்தான் மோசே, தேவனிடமிருந்து பிரிய விரும்பவில்லை.

நாமும் நம் வாழ்க்கையை தொடர்புபடுத்தலாம். இந்த குழப்பமான மற்றும் கணிக்க முடியாத உலகில், நமது தேவனுடைய பிரசன்னத்தை விட பாதுகாப்பான, அதிக சமாதானமான குடியிருப்பு எதுவும் இல்லை. அவர் இன்றைக்கு மட்டுமல்ல, கடந்த தலைமுறைகளுக்கும் தேவன் பாதுகாப்பான அடைக்கலமாக இருந்திருக்கிறார். எதிர்காலத்திலும் அப்படியே இருக்கப்போகிறார்.

இந்த நித்திய சத்தியத்தை நம் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் தைரியமாகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியாகவும் அறிக்கையிடுவோம்: கர்த்தர் நமது அடைக்கலம், நமது பலத்த கோபுரம், நாம் வசிக்கும் கன்மலை, அவர் மீது மட்டுமே நாம் நம்பிக்கை வைக்கிறோம். பூமியின் அஸ்திபாரங்கள் போடப்படுவதற்கு முன்பே, சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவன் தம்முடைய ஜனங்களுக்கு நித்திய வீடாக இருந்திருக்கிறார். அவரை நம்முடைய தேவன், நம்முடைய கர்த்தர், நம்முடைய இரட்சகர் என்று அழைப்பது எவ்வளவு பெரிய பாக்கியம் மற்றும் ஆசீர்வாதம்! சங்கீதம் 91:1 சொல்லுகிறது: “உன்னதமானவரின் மறைவிலிருக்கிறவன் சர்வவல்லவருடைய நிழலில் தங்குவான்.” 

சிந்திக்க : சர்வவல்லவரின் வாசஸ்தலத்தை உலகில் எதுவும் மாற்ற முடியாது என்பதை மோசே உணர்ந்தபோது மோசே செய்ததைப் போலவே, சமாதானம், பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பின் ஒரே ஆதாரமாக கடவுளின் பிரசன்னத்தை நான் உண்மையிலேயே தேடுகிறேனா?
