"Blog Y2 583 - Holding Fast to His Word"

 

Remember the word to Your servant, upon which You have caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me life. Psalm 119:49,50.

We are living in a world filled with corruption and deception. Many of us face situations that seem hopeless. The words of man are unstable and ever-changing, but the Word of our God is full of Spirit, power, and truth. He does not change His mind. If He has spoken, that word is final. In Christ, every promise is Yes and Amen (2 Corinthians 1:20).

The psalmist’s prayer in these verses is powerful and deeply heartfelt. Though he believes in God’s faithfulness and unchanging promises, he still brings God’s word before Him, reminding both himself and the Lord as an act of trust, hope, and prayer.

Yes, the Word from our loving Father is our anchor of hope. In times of struggle and affliction, His promises are our comfort and source of life. He will surely fulfill every word He has spoken, in His perfect time. Our waiting time is not wasted time. Just like King David, we too can confess, decree, and declare that God’s promises revive our hearts and fill us with peace, hope, and joy. Psalm 130:5 says: "I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope."

Reflection: Am I holding on to what God has spoken, trusting that His promises remain steady and unshaken even when everything around me feels uncertain or delayed?

ஊழலும் ஏமாற்றுத்தனமும் நிறைந்த உலகில் நாம் வாழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறோம். நம்மில் நிறைய பேர் நம்பிக்கையற்ற சூழ்நிலைகளை எதிர்கொள்கிறோம். மனுஷனுடைய வார்த்தைகள் நிலையற்றவை, எப்போதும் மாறக்கூடியவை, ஆனால், நமது தேவனுடைய வார்த்தை ஆவியினாலும், அதிகாரத்தாலும், சத்தியத்தாலும் நிரம்பியது. அவர் தமது மனதை மாற்றுவதில்லை. அவர் பேசினால், அந்த வார்த்தை இறுதியானது. கிறிஸ்துவில், ஒவ்வொரு வாக்குறுதியும் ஆம் என்றும் ஆமென் என்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கிறது (2 கொரிந்தியர் 1:20).

இந்த வசனங்களில் சங்கீதக்காரனின் ஜெபம் வல்லமையானது, இதயப்பூர்வமானது. அவர் தேவனுடைய உண்மையையும் மாறாத வாக்குத்தத்தங்களையும் நம்பினாலும், அவர் இன்னும் தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையை அவருக்கு முன்பாக கொண்டு வருகிறார், அவருடைய நோக்கம், நம்பிக்கை மற்றும் ஜெபத்தின் மூலமாக தன்னையும் கர்த்தரையும் ஞாபகப்படுத்துகிறார்.

ஆம், நம் அன்பான பரமபிதாவிடமிருந்து வரும் வார்த்தை நமது நம்பிக்கையின் நங்கூரம். போராட்டம் மற்றும் துன்ப காலங்களில், அவரது வாக்குத்தத்தங்கள் நமக்கு ஆறுதலும் வாழ்க்கையின் ஆதாரமுமாகும். அவர் சொன்ன ஒவ்வொரு வார்த்தையையும், தக்க நேரத்தில் நிச்சயமாக நிறைவேற்றுவார். நாம் காத்திருக்கும் நேரம் வீணானது அல்ல. தாவீது ராஜாவைப் போலவே, நாமும் தேவனுடைய வாக்குத்தத்தங்கள் நம் இருதயங்களை புதுப்பிக்கின்றன, சமாதானம், நம்பிக்கை மற்றும் மகிழ்ச்சியால் நம்மை நிரப்புகின்றன என்று அறிக்கையிடலாம், ஆணையிடலாம், அறிவிக்கலாம். சங்கீதம் 130:5 சொல்லுகிறது: “கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறேன்; என் ஆத்துமா காத்திருக்கிறது; அவருடைய வார்த்தையை நம்பியிருக்கிறேன்.”

சிந்திக்க: என்னைச் சுற்றியுள்ள அனைத்தும் நிச்சயமற்றதாகவோ அல்லது தாமதமாகவோ உணர்ந்தாலும், அவருடைய வாக்குறுதிகள் நிலையானதாகவும், அசைக்கப்படாததாகவும் இருக்கும் என்று நம்பி, தேவன் பேசியதை நான் பற்றிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேனா?
