"Blog Y2 462 - Fix Your Eyes on Jesus"

But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, That I may declare all Your works. Psalm 73:28.

        When we observe the world and its fleeting power, it’s easy for our hopes to waver. Just as Peter’s faith faltered when he focused on the wind and the waves instead of Jesus, we too can stumble when our eyes are distracted by the challenges around us. However, the moment Peter cried out for help, Jesus reached out, lifted him up, and together they walked on the water before stepping into the boat.

          This reminds us of an essential truth: when we fix our eyes on Jesus, He becomes our unshakable foundation—our strength, our hope, and our all. Drawing near to God and placing our trust in Him transforms our lives. As today’s verse declares, it is good for us to draw near to God because He is our refuge, our safest place of security.

        In a world that often pulls us in many directions, we must intentionally seek God’s presence, for without Him, we are powerless. Just as we cannot move a single step without His grace, so too we cannot face life’s storms without His strength. When we surrender our lives fully to Him, trusting in His wisdom and love, He takes control and guides our steps.

        Let us choose to draw near to God, making Him our refuge and strength. In doing so, we will not only find peace and stability but also the joy of declaring His mighty works to the world. James 4:8 says: “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”

Reflection: Am I fixing my eyes on Jesus, seeking His presence, and fully trusting in His strength and guidance to navigate life’s challenges?

        தேவனை நம்முடைய அடைக்கலமாகவும் பெலனாகவும் ஆக்கிக்கொண்டு, அவரிடம் நெருங்கி வர தெரிந்துகொள்வோமாக. அவ்வாறு செய்யும்போது, நாம் சமாதானத்தையும் ஸ்திரத்தன்மையையும் காண்பது மட்டுமல்லாமல், அவருடைய வல்லமையான செயல்களை உலகிற்கு அறிவிக்கும் மகிழ்ச்சியையும் பெறுவோம். யாக்கோபு 4:8 சொல்லுகிறது: “தேவனிடத்தில் சேருங்கள், அப்பொழுது அவர் உங்களிடத்தில் சேருவார். பாவிகளே, உங்கள் கைகளைச் சுத்திகரியுங்கள்; இருமனமுள்ளவர்களே, உங்கள் இருதயங்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குங்கள்.”
