Blog Y3 835 - "Faith Seen by Others"

So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel, ‘Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.’ Daniel 6:16. This powerful verse speaks especially to the children of God who worship Him faithfully, day and night, without ceasing. The king who said this did not truly know God personally. Yet, by observing Daniel, his life, his devotion, and his unwavering commitment, the king came to recognize the greatness and power of the God Daniel served. Daniel’s relationship with God became a testimony to others. Sometimes, we ourselves do not fully realize the greatness, power, and zeal that God has for His children. But others can clearly see it through our lives. What a truth this is! We are not worshiping something lifeless like carved images. We are worshiping the Living God, the Most High, who created the heavens and the earth and governs all things. He has the power to shut the mouths of lions. He l...

Blog Y3 834 - "Honoring His Holy Place"

And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ ” Matthew 21:13. Right after the Hosanna procession, when people were praising and honoring Him, our Lord Jesus revealed a different side of His heart, a holy zeal for His Father’s house. Though He endured rejection, misunderstanding, and many wrongs silently, here we see Him act with righteous authority. Why? Because the sanctity of His Father’s house had been dishonored. This teaches us something very deep. The house of God is not an ordinary place; it is a house of prayer, a dwelling filled with His holy presence. When we enter the church, we are not stepping into a social gathering or a place for casual conversation. The Scripture reminds us to “keep our steps”, to come with reverence, awareness, and a heart prepared to meet God. Our behavior, our thoughts, our conversations, and even the way we present ourselves should reflect His glory. Everyone who enters s...

Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest! Luke 19:38. Lent is not directly mentioned in the Scriptures. Yes, our Lord Jesus fasted for forty days before He began His ministry. While Lent as a season is a tradition, it is still good for us to set apart time to fast, reflect, and remember the significance of the Cross and the sacrifice of our Savior. However, the event of Palm Sunday is recorded in all four Gospels. It is a triumphant procession, our King entering Jerusalem in fulfillment of the prophecy in Zechariah chapter 9. “Rejoice greatly… Behold, your King is coming to you…” (Zechariah 9:9) Yes, our King is coming to make us rejoice! Hosanna is not only a shout of joy, praise, and worship, but it is also a cry for help, meaning, “Lord, save us!” Through this, we see that Jesus, the King of kings, is the promised Messiah, giving us the full assurance of redemption and salvation, not only for us, but also for our loved ones. But Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’ Matthew 19:26. We often say with our lips, “Nothing is impossible for God.” But when we pause and deeply meditate on this verse, it becomes so powerful, full of Spirit and life. We are human beings with limitations. There is only so much we can do. As we grow older, our strength and ability slowly fade. Even with strong willpower, we cannot accomplish everything. No matter how advanced, even scientists cannot go beyond certain limits. We may achieve many things in this world, but there are some things completely beyond human ability. For example, no one can truly change a person’s heart; that is possible only through God. When we think about salvation, it is entirely the work of our Lord alone. It is not something we can earn or accomplish by ourselves. It is purely by His grace and power. There may be moments in life when we lose hope… when situations seem final… when we fee...

Salvation belongs to the Lord. Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah. Psalms 3:8.  Salvation and victory belong only to our Lord God, the One who created Heaven and Earth and who is sovereign over all things. Salvation, especially, is entirely His. We must live with thankful and grateful hearts, because it is He who has saved us and freely given us this precious gift. We cannot save ourselves. It is only by God’s infinite grace and boundless mercy that we are redeemed. Even when we pray for the salvation of our loved ones and friends, we must remember that this work belongs to God alone. We cannot accomplish it by our own strength; it is His divine work. Our role is to wait in His presence with faith and expectation. What we cannot do, we can place into God’s hands. He is faithful and will surely accomplish every mighty work in His perfect time. Salvation is the foundation of all blessings. Because He has redeemed us and made us His children, His blessings will follow upo...

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11. We must truly know who our Father God is. He is our Sun, giving us light, life, and truth, and at the same time consuming every work of the enemy. He is our Shield, protecting us from all evil and surrounding us with His divine care. The Lord gives grace and glory. He honors those who fear Him and walk in love and obedience. Our God is generous beyond measure; His goodness cannot be compared with anything in this world. He makes His sun rise and sends rain on everyone, yet He pours a special grace upon His children. He never withholds any good thing from those who walk uprightly. All blessings, riches, and glory flow from our Heavenly Father, and His blessings bring peace, joy, and no sorrow. Reflection: What do I choose to believe today that shapes my confidence? Am I resting in His generosity, trusting that He provides everything needed...

Blog Y3 829 - "Strengthened by His Hand"

You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great. Psalms 18:35. Salvation is the most precious gift given to us by our Lord God. Through this salvation, His divine presence continually surrounds us, like a shield, keeping us safe in His care. From the very moment we receive His salvation, we are held securely in the palm of His hand. We become the apple of His eye, cherished, protected, and deeply loved. What a great and undeserved blessing this is! Before we were saved, we were in a helpless and broken condition, far from His grace. But when we received His salvation, everything changed. His mighty right hand began to uphold us, sustain us, strengthen us, and empower us for every step of our journey. His presence goes with us always. His power works within us. And His compassion gently shapes our lives and lifts us. It is not by our strength, but by His gentleness and mercy that we are made strong and established. B...

I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord. Ezekiel 37:14. Our God, Yahweh, is the one and only true God. When we become God’s children, He takes full control of our lives. From that moment on, we completely belong to Him. Whatever our situation may be, by His Spirit, He is able to revive everything. Sometimes we may feel that everything is finished and there is no hope left. But our God promises that He will send His Holy Spirit and revive us again. The Holy Spirit is the unlimited presence and power of Jesus Christ. Even from the grave, He can bring life again. At times, we fail to realize who our God truly is. Therefore, He allows certain signs in our lives to show that He is the Lord of lords. When we see His works and His signs, we will surely know who our God is. Yes, God already has a blueprint for our lives. According to His perfect plan, He will pl...

For the Lord God will help Me; Therefore I will not be disgraced; Therefore I have set My face like a flint, and I know that I will not be ashamed. Isaiah 50:7. We are often running very fast in this world, facing many trials and temptations. In the midst of all this, our God calls us to pause and be still, so that we may receive His grace. When we stop and turn to Him, His help will surely come, and we will not be disgraced. Let us stop and lift our eyes to the God who created heaven and earth. Let us place our complete trust in Him, a trust that is firm and unshaken like a rock. Our will must be strongly aligned with God’s will. When we lift our heads and hearts to God without doubt, He will never allow His children to be put to shame. The only thing He expects from us is to trust Him completely, not only with our lips, but with our whole heart. When God is my helper, I can stand firm with steady courage, refusing to be shaken by fear or doubt. I choose to press forward with unwaveri...

And he said: ‘I cried out to the Lord because of my affliction, and He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and You heard my voice.’ Jonah 2:2. Rebellion is a sin that we, too, sometimes fall into. Just like Jonah, we may continue in our lives comfortably, almost like sleeping, without realizing how we have grieved our God, the One who separated us from the world to fulfill His will and purpose. But our loving Father will not leave us there. At times, God allows us to enter situations that only we can handle. Just as He allowed Jonah to be in the belly of the great fish, God may also permit circumstances in our lives that bring us to a place where we turn our full attention back to Him. In the belly of the fish, Jonah cried out to the Lord, and God heard his voice. Jonah not only cried out for help but also praised and acknowledged God’s mercy even in that dark place. In the same way, we too must learn to cry out to God and praise Him, trusting in His mercy and deliver...

As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. Psalms 125:2. When we look at the geographical structure of Jerusalem, we see that the city is surrounded by mountains. God allowed it to be formed this way as a natural protection for the city. At the same time, throughout history, Jerusalem has been surrounded by enemies. Yet God’s perfect protection has always been there. The mountains stand like a natural fortress, providing security and defense. In the same way, the Lord surrounds His people. However, the condition for this promise is mentioned in verse 1. We must place our full trust in the Lord. When we trust in Him completely, we will not be shaken or moved. When we stand on His truth and grace, our hearts become firm and unshakable. Then the Lord Himself surrounds us and protects us, spiritually, physically, and in every way. As the Word of God says, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” As God’s children, the ene...

In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear, and from terror, for it shall not come near you. Isaiah 54:14. As citizens of Heaven, our lives are under the protection and authority of the righteous government of God. Our foundation is firmly established in His righteousness. No cruel enemy can touch us, because we are surrounded by the armies of Heaven. Even the fear of oppression or destruction will not come near us, for multitudes of heavenly angels are with us. Above all, God is our All in All, and we completely belong to Him. As His Word declares, no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and no terror will come close to us. Angels of our God stand around us like a wall of fire, as in 2 Kings 6:17. “And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” Therefore,...

Blog Y3 823 - "Choosing Kindness over Hurt"

Image
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21. When we are wounded or hurt by someone, our God teaches us a different way to overcome it. Truly, it hurts deeply, and we often find it very difficult to forgive and forget what was done to us. Whenever we see the person who hurt us, feelings of resentment may rise in our hearts. We may even look for an opportunity to hurt them back. That is human nature. But God teaches us His way. Taking revenge is not our part. In Proverbs, we read:  “If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.” Proverbs 25:21. Yes, instead of seeking revenge, we should look for opportunities to do good to them. That is the right way to respond. When our ways are pleasing to God, He is able to turn even our enemies’ hearts and bring peace between us. Proverbs 25:22 also says: “For so you will heap coals of fire on his head, and the Lord will reward you.” When we respond with goodness, it ma...

So he answered and said to me: ‘This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.’ Zechariah 4:6.  This is a powerful promise from our mighty God, the Commander of the heavenly armies—our loving Father. At that time, this word was spoken to Zerubbabel. But even today, this promise is alive and true for us. In our lives, we often face many situations that seem impossible to overcome. We try with our own strength and depend on our own abilities. We struggle with all our might, yet sometimes we still cannot overcome. But the Lord reminds us: victory does not come by our might or our power, it comes by His Spirit. Now we are living in the time of the Holy Spirit. God has sent His Holy Spirit to dwell within us. He is not far away from us; He lives in us and walks with us. The Holy Spirit is the One who can break every barrier and every challenging situation that blocks our blessings. So let us practice a life of prayer and ...

Blog Y3 821 - "Drawn to the Cross"

Image
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18. This world, whose eyes are blinded by Satan, does not recognize the power of the Cross or the meaning of the death of Christ. To them, it seems foolish to speak about or boast in the Cross. But the Cross, where our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified, is filled with the power of God. The precious blood that Jesus shed on the Cross is the only way by which our sins are cleansed. Jesus Christ alone is the way to enter the Heavenly Kingdom. The Cross is our strength and our redemption. Through Christ, who was crucified for our sins, we receive forgiveness and new life. Through the Cross, we receive not only salvation but also the blessings of restoration, healing, and God’s grace in our lives. Yet to those who are perishing, whose spiritual eyes are blinded, the truth about the Cross appears foolish. How thankful we must be to God that He has opened...

According to the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit remains among you; do not fear! Haggai 2:5. Nowadays, when we speak with many people, we see a spirit of panic and fear everywhere. Yet in the Bible, the command “Do not be afraid” appears nearly 365 times. Our loving Father repeatedly reminds us not to live in fear. In this verse, our Father assures us that His Spirit remains with us. When He brought His people out of Egypt, from bondage and slavery, He made a covenant with them that His Spirit would remain among them. In the same way, when the Lord brought us out of our bondage to sin and our old life, He gave us His Holy Spirit to dwell within us. The Bible tells us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. Because the Holy Spirit lives in us, we are never alone and never helpless. As the Lord says: “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit.” When the Holy Spirit lives within us, nothing can u...

Blog Y3 819 - "Love that receives us."

Image
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:17. What a powerful verse filled with hope and assurance! Sometimes we imagine God as a terrifying judge, always following us with a rod to punish us. But we often fail to understand His amazing grace, mercy, and unfailing love.  At the same time, we must remember that God’s grace is not a license to continue in sin. His grace is given to us so that we may escape from sin, overcome it, and live a holy life. Our Lord Jesus Christ came into this world to save and redeem us, not to condemn us. God revealed His unchanging love by sending His only begotten Son for our salvation. He desires that we may one day reign with Him forever and ever. Yet many times we stray from Him, becoming attached to the temporary things of this world. But this world will not last forever. The Scriptures tell us that the present world will one day pass away and face judgment by fire. Only e...

Blog Y3 818 - "Restored by His mercy"

Image
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.  Isaiah 53:5 . About 700 years before the birth of Jesus Christ, this prophecy was written by the Prophet Isaiah. Because of the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are forgiven, we are made righteous, we are redeemed, and we are healed. All these blessings flow from the sacrifice of the cross. Yet we often take these blessings for granted and fail to stop and reflect on the price paid for them. Our Lord Jesus Christ was punished again and again, not because He had sinned. He is holy, sinless, and perfect. But in His great love, He willingly took our place so that we might be made holy and complete. Just imagine, if Jesus had not come into this world, what would have happened to us? We would still be bound under the law, without redemption and without hope. Jesus lovingly took every burden that stood against us and placed it upo...
