So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel, ‘Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.’ Daniel 6:16.
This powerful verse speaks especially to the children of God who worship Him faithfully, day and night, without ceasing.
The king who said this did not truly know God personally. Yet, by observing Daniel, his life, his devotion, and his unwavering commitment, the king came to recognize the greatness and power of the God Daniel served. Daniel’s relationship with God became a testimony to others.
Sometimes, we ourselves do not fully realize the greatness, power, and zeal that God has for His children. But others can clearly see it through our lives. What a truth this is!
We are not worshiping something lifeless like carved images. We are worshiping the Living God, the Most High, who created the heavens and the earth and governs all things.
He has the power to shut the mouths of lions.
He lives within us.
He is greater than the one who is in the world.
Let us come to truly know and experience who our God is. The same God of Daniel is with us today.
Let us trust Him fully.
Let us worship Him continually.
For we were created to worship Him and to walk in obedience to His will.
Reflection: Do I reflect His presence in a way that stirs hope in those around me, showing through my life that the One I serve is powerful, faithful, and always near?
