Blog Y3 834 - "Honoring His Holy Place"

And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ ” Matthew 21:13.

Right after the Hosanna procession, when people were praising and honoring Him, our Lord Jesus revealed a different side of His heart, a holy zeal for His Father’s house.

Though He endured rejection, misunderstanding, and many wrongs silently, here we see Him act with righteous authority. Why? Because the sanctity of His Father’s house had been dishonored.

This teaches us something very deep. The house of God is not an ordinary place; it is a house of prayer, a dwelling filled with His holy presence. When we enter the church, we are not stepping into a social gathering or a place for casual conversation. The Scripture reminds us to “keep our steps”, to come with reverence, awareness, and a heart prepared to meet God.

Our behavior, our thoughts, our conversations, and even the way we present ourselves should reflect His glory. Everyone who enters should sense that it is not just a building, but our Father’s house, filled with His divine presence.

At the same time, this truth goes even deeper. We ourselves are the temple of God. As it is written, if we defile this temple, there are consequences. Therefore, we are called to honor God not only in a physical church but also in our own bodies and lives.

Reflection: How do I enter His presence with a heart that is focused and sincere, allowing my thoughts, actions, and attitude to reflect the reverence due to the One I have come to meet?

என்னுடைய வீடு ஜெபவீடு என்னப்படும் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறது; நீங்களோ அதைக் கள்ளர் குகையாக்கினீர்கள் என்றார்.  மத்தேயு 21:13.

ஓசன்னா பவனி முடிந்தவுடனேயே, மக்கள் அவரைத் துதித்து கனப்படுத்திக்கொண்டிருந்தபோது, நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு தமது இருதயத்தின் மற்றொரு பக்கத்தை, அதாவது தமது பிதாவின் வீட்டின் மீதான பரிசுத்த வைராக்கியத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தினார்.

அவர் நிராகரிப்பு, தவறாகப் புரிந்துகொள்ளப்படுதல் மற்றும் பல அநீதிகளை அமைதியாக சகித்துக்கொண்டபோதிலும், இங்கே அவர் நீதியான அதிகாரத்துடன் செயல்படுவதை நாம் காண்கிறோம். ஏன்? ஏனென்றால், அவருடைய பிதாவின் வீட்டின் புனிதம் அவமதிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது.

இது நமக்கு மிகவும் ஆழமான ஒன்றைக் கற்பிக்கிறது. தேவனுடைய வீடு ஒரு சாதாரண இடமல்ல; அது ஒரு ஜெப வீடு, அவருடைய பரிசுத்த பிரசன்னம் நிறைந்த வாசஸ்தலம். நாம் சபைக்குள் நுழையும்போது, ஒரு சமூகக் கூட்டத்திற்கோ அல்லது சாதாரண உரையாடலுக்கான ஒரு இடத்திற்கோ நாம் செல்லவில்லை. நாம் தேவாலயத்திற்குப் போகும்போது "நம்முடைய நடையைக் காத்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டும்" என்றும், பயபக்தியுடனும், விழிப்புணர்வுடனும், தேவனைச் சந்திக்க ஆயத்தமான இருதயத்துடனும் வர வேண்டும் என்றும் வேதாகமம் நமக்கு நினைவூட்டுகிறது.

நம்முடைய நடத்தை, நம்முடைய எண்ணங்கள், நம்முடைய உரையாடல்கள், மற்றும் நம்மை நாம் வெளிப்படுத்தும் விதம் கூட அவருடைய மகிமையைப் பிரதிபலிக்க வேண்டும். உள்ளே நுழையும் ஒவ்வொருவரும் அது வெறும் ஒரு கட்டடம் அல்ல, மாறாக அவருடைய தெய்வீக பிரசன்னம் நிறைந்த நம் பிதாவின் வீடு என்பதை உணர வேண்டும்.

அதே வேளையில், இந்த சத்தியம் இன்னும் ஆழமாகச் செல்கிறது. நாமே தேவனுடைய ஆலயமாய் இருக்கிறோம். எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி, நாம் இந்த ஆலயத்தைக் கெடுத்தால், அதற்கான விளைவுகள் உண்டு. எனவே, நாம் ஒரு கட்டடமாகிய சபையில் மட்டுமல்ல, நம் சொந்த சரீரங்களிலும் வாழ்க்கையிலும்கூட தேவனை கனப்படுத்த அழைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம்.

சிந்திக்க: நான் சந்திக்க வந்திருக்கிறவருக்குரிய பயபக்தியை என் எண்ணங்கள், செயல்கள் மற்றும் மனப்பான்மை பிரதிபலிக்கும்படி, ஒருமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்ட மற்றும் உண்மையான இருதயத்துடன் அவருடைய பிரசன்னத்திற்குள் நான் எப்படி நுழைகிறேன்?
