"Blog Y2 464 - Rooted in Prayer and Word"

He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm 1:3.

        As believers, we rejoice in the truth that we are not bound by religion but are called into a living relationship with our Heavenly Father. We are truly blessed because we know the way to eternal life through Him. However, to cultivate and deepen this relationship, two essential practices are required: prayer and the meditation of God’s Word. Prayer is the means by which we commune with Him, while meditating on His Word allows us to hear His voice and understand His will. Both are vital, like two tracks that keep us steadfast on the path of faith.

          The world may attempt to distract us with its own ideas and teachings, pulling us away from our relationship with God. Yet, as His children, we must tune our ears to hear His voice clearly. His voice speaks to us powerfully through His Word. When we dedicate our hearts and minds to reading, meditating on, and obeying His Word, we will become like a flourishing tree planted by streams of water. Such a tree is rooted, steadfast, and fruitful in every season.

        A life grounded in God’s Word is not only blessed but also becomes a blessing to others. Our personal growth in Him will reflect His glory, and whatever we do to honor and please the Lord will prosper.

        May our hearts always be devoted to His Word, that we may receive His promises and live as testimonies of His faithfulness and love. Jeremiah 17:8 says: “For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.”

Reflection: Am I dedicating time to prayer and meditating on God’s Word, allowing His voice to guide me and my life to flourish as a testimony to His glory?

        விசுவாசமுள்ளவர்களாகிய நாம் மதத்தால் கட்டுப்படுத்தப்படாமல், நமது பரமபிதாவுடன் சேர்ந்து வாழும் உறவுக்கு அழைக்கப்படுகிறோம் என்ற சத்தியத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகிறோம். அவர் மூலமாக நித்திய ஜீவனுக்கான வழியை நாம் அறிந்திருப்பதால் நாம் உண்மையிலேயே ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள். இருப்பினும், இந்த உறவில் முழுமையாக வளர்வதற்கு, இரண்டு அத்தியாவசிய நடைமுறைகள் தேவை: ஜெபம் மற்றும் தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையின் தியானம். ஜெபம் என்பது நாம் அவருடன் தொடர்புகொள்வதற்கான வழிமுறையாகும், அதே நேரத்தில் அவருடைய வார்த்தையை தியானிப்பது அவரது குரலைக் கேட்கவும் அவரது சித்தத்தைப் புரிந்துகொள்ளவும் அனுமதிக்கிறது. இவை இரண்டு ரயில் தண்டவாளங்களைப் போல நம்மை விசுவாசப் பாதையில் உறுதியாக வைத்திருக்க இன்றியமையாதவை.

        உலகம் தனது சிந்தனைகள் மற்றும் போதனைகளால் நம்மைத் திருப்ப முயற்சித்து, நம்மை தேவனுடன் உள்ள உறவிலிருந்து விலகச் செய்யலாம். ஆனால் அவரது பிள்ளைகளாக நாம் அவரது குரலைத் தெளிவாகக் கேட்க நம்முடைய காதுகளைத் திறக்க வேண்டும். அவருடைய குரல் அவருடைய வார்த்தையின் மூலம் நம்மிடம் வல்லமையாக பேசுகிறது. அவருடைய வார்த்தையை வாசிப்பதற்கும், தியானிப்பதற்கும், கீழ்ப்படிவதற்கும் நமது இருதயங்களையும் மனதையும் அர்ப்பணிக்கும்போது, நீரோடைகளின் அருகில்  நடப்பட்ட செழிப்பான மரத்தைப் போல நாம் ஆவோம். அத்தகைய மரம் வேரூன்றி ஒவ்வொரு பருவத்திலும், மிகுந்த கனிகளைத் தரும்.

        தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையில் வேரூன்றிய ஒரு வாழ்க்கை ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவது மட்டுமல்ல, மற்றவர்களுக்கும் ஆசீர்வாதமாகவும் மாறும். அவரில் நமது தனிப்பட்ட வளர்ச்சி அவருடைய மகிமையைப் பிரதிபலிக்கவும், கர்த்தரை கனப்படுத்தவும், பிரியப்படுத்தவும் நாம் எதைச் செய்தாலும் செழிக்கவும் செய்யும்.

        அவருடைய வாக்குத்தத்தங்களைப் பெற்று, அவருடைய விசுவாசம் மற்றும் அன்பின் சாட்சிகளாக வாழ்வதற்கு, நம்முடைய இருதயங்கள் எப்போதும் அவருடைய வார்த்தையில் அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்டதாக இருக்கட்டும். எரேமியா 17:8 சொல்லுகிறது: “அவன் தண்ணீரண்டையிலே நாட்டப்பட்டதும், கால்வாய் ஓரமாகத் தன் வேர்களை விடுகிறதும், உஷ்ணம் வருகிறதைக் காணாமல் இலை பச்சையாயிருக்கிறதும், மழைத்தாழ்ச்சியான வருஷத்திலும் வருத்தமின்றித் தப்பாமல் கனிகொடுக்கிறதுமான மரத்தைப்போலிருப்பான்.”

சிந்திக்க: நான் ஜெபத்திற்கும் தேவனின் வார்த்தையை தியானிப்பதற்கும் நேரத்தை ஒதுக்கி, என் வாழ்க்கை அவரது மகிமைக்கு சாட்சியமாக விருத்தியடையச் செய்து அவரது குரல் என்னை வழிநடத்த அனுமதிக்கிறேனா?"
