"Blog Y2 468 - Seek Eternal Treasures"

Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death. Proverbs 10:2.

We must first recognize that our life in this world is fleeting, but the life beyond this world is eternal. The treasures we accumulate in this life may provide temporary comfort and security, but they cannot secure the eternal kingdom that God has promised to those who love Him. 

          Treasures gained through wickedness are particularly dangerous. While they may seem to bring immediate ease or pleasure, they carry devastating consequences. Such ill-gotten wealth becomes a curse to the one who acquires it, leading them away from God and ultimately into eternal death.

        In contrast, righteousness and moral integrity bring deliverance from eternal death. Those who walk in righteousness are upheld by the Lord. Jesus Christ Himself intercedes for them, standing as their Redeemer to rescue them from eternal condemnation.

        The Almighty God redeems the righteous from the pit of destruction and crowns them with His lovingkindness and tender mercy. His blessings are far greater than any earthly treasure, for they are eternal, pure, and life-giving. Proverbs 11:4 says: “Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, But righteousness delivers from death.”

Reflection: Am I seeking eternal treasures by walking in righteousness, or am I clinging to the fleeting comforts of this world?

அநியாயத்தின் திரவியங்கள் ஒன்றுக்கும் உதவாது; நீதியோ மரணத்துக்குத் தப்புவிக்கும். நீதிமொழிகள் 10:2.

இந்த உலகில் நமது வாழ்க்கை நிலையற்றது, ஆனால் இந்த உலகத்திற்கு அப்பால் உள்ள வாழ்க்கை நித்தியமானது என்பதை நாம் முதலில் உணர வேண்டும். நாம் இந்த வாழ்க்கையில் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளும் செல்வங்கள் தற்காலிகமான சௌகரியத்தையும் பாதுகாப்பையும் வழங்கலாம், ஆனால் தேவன் தன்னை நேசிப்பவர்களுக்கு வாக்களித்த நித்திய ராஜ்யத்தை அவை பெற்றுத் தர முடியாது..

        தீமையின் மூலம் கிடைத்த செல்வங்கள் மிகவும் ஆபத்தானவை. அவை உடனடியான சுகத்தையும் மகிழ்ச்சியையும் அளிப்பது போல தோன்றினாலும், அவை பேரழிவு தரும் விளைவுகளைக் கொண்டுள்ளன. இப்படிப்பட்ட தவறான முறையில் சம்பாதித்த செல்வம் அதை சம்பாதிப்பவருக்கு சாபமாகி, அவர்களை தேவனை விட்டு விலக்கி இறுதியில் நித்திய மரணத்திற்கு வழிநடத்துகிறது.

        இதற்கு நேர்மாறாக, நீதியும் ஒழுக்கமும் உத்தமமும் நித்திய மரணத்திலிருந்து விடுதலையைக் கொண்டுவருகின்றன. நீதியில் நடக்கிறவர்கள் கர்த்தரால் ஆதரிக்கப்படுகிறார்கள். இயேசு கிறிஸ்து தாமே அவர்களுக்காக பரிந்து பேசுகிறார், நித்திய ஆக்கினைத்தீர்ப்பிலிருந்து அவர்களை மீட்க அவர்களின் மீட்பராக நிற்கிறார். 

        சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவன் நீதிமான்களை அழிவின் குழியிலிருந்து மீட்டு, தம்முடைய அன்பான தயவினாலும் உருக்கமான இரக்கத்தினாலும் அவர்களுக்கு முடிசூட்டுகிறார். பூமியிலுள்ள எந்தப் பொக்கிஷத்தையும்விட அவருடைய ஆசீர்வாதங்கள் மிக உயர்ந்தவை, ஏனென்றால் அவை நித்தியமானவை, தூய்மையானவை, உயிரளிப்பவை. நீதிமொழிகள் 11:4 சொல்லுகிறது: “கோபாக்கினை நாளில் ஐசுவரியம் உதவாது; நீதியோ மரணத்துக்குத் தப்புவிக்கும்.”

சிந்தனைக்கு: நீதியில் நடப்பதன் மூலம் நான் நித்திய பொக்கிஷங்களைத் தேடுகிறேனா, அல்லது இந்த உலகத்தின் தற்காலிக வசதிகளைப் பற்றிக்கொள்கிறேனா?
