"Blog Y2 484 - God Delights in Humble Hearts"

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, But the prayer of the upright is His delight. Proverbs‬ ‭15‬:‭8‬.

        Many believe that offering rituals and sacrifices will earn God’s favor, but Scripture reminds us that the sacrifices of the wicked are an abomination in His sight. Without a heart that genuinely seeks Him, such offerings are empty and meaningless. God does not delight in religious acts performed without love, humility, and obedience. The Lord values sacrifices made in humility and gratitude, those made from a broken and contrite spirit. He never rejects such offerings.

        When we truly love God, our sacrifices are made solely to please Him. The prayers of the righteous, His children, flow from broken hearts filled with gratitude. These prayers are not about asking for things to be done but about seeking a closer relationship with God and bringing Him joy. Our God cherishes such children and their heartfelt prayers. May our prayers always be pleasing and acceptable in His sight. Psalms 51:17 says: “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart. These, O God, You will not despise.”

Reflection: Am I seeking God with a sincere and humble heart, ensuring my worship is rooted in love rather than mere ritual?

நீதிமானுடைய வீட்டில் அதிக பொக்கிஷமுண்டு; துன்மார்க்கனுடைய வருமானத்திலோ துன்பமுண்டு. நீதிமொழிகள் 15:8.

            சடங்குகள்  தியாகங்கள் போன்றவை தேவனின் தயவைப் பெறும் என்று பலர் நம்புகிறார்கள், ஆனால் துன்மார்க்கரின் தியாகங்கள் அவருடைய பார்வையில் அருவருப்பானவை என்பதை வேதம் நமக்கு நினைவூட்டுகிறது. அவரை உண்மையாகத் தேடும் இதயம் இல்லாமல், அத்தகைய காணிக்கைகள் வெறுமையானவை மற்றும் அர்த்தமற்றவை. அன்பு, மனத்தாழ்மை, கீழ்ப்படிதல் இல்லாமல் செய்யப்படும் மத சடங்குகளில் தேவன் மகிழ்ச்சியடைவதில்லை. மனத்தாழ்மையுடனும் நன்றியுணர்வுடனும் செய்யப்படும் தியாகங்களையும், உடைந்ததும், நொறுங்குண்டதுமான ஆவியால்  செய்யப்படும் தியாகங்களையும் கர்த்தர் விரும்புகிறார். அத்தகைய காணிக்கைகளை அவர் ஒருபோதும் நிராகரிப்பதில்லை.

            நாம் உண்மையிலேயே தேவனை நேசிக்கும்போது, நம்முடைய தியாகங்கள் அவரைப் பிரியப்படுத்துவதற்காக மட்டுமே செய்யப்படுகின்றன. நீதிமான்கள், மற்றும் தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளின் ஜெபங்கள், நன்றியுணர்வால் நிரப்பப்பட்ட உடைந்த இருதயங்களிலிருந்து வழிந்தோடுகின்றன. இந்த ஜெபங்கள் தேவையான காரியங்களைக் கேட்பதைப் பற்றியது அல்ல, ஆனால் தேவனுடன் நெருங்கிய உறவைத் தேடுவதையும் அவருக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியைக் கொண்டுவருவதையும் பற்றியது. இப்படிப்பட்ட பிள்ளைகளையும் அவர்களுடைய இருதயப்பூர்வமான ஜெபங்களிலும் நம்முடைய தேவன் மகிழ்கிறார். நமது ஜெபங்கள் எப்போதும் அவருடைய பார்வையில் இனிமையாகவும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளத்தக்கதாகவும் இருப்பதாக. சங்கீதம் 51:17 சொல்லுகிறது: “தேவனுக்கேற்கும் பலிகள் நொறுங்குண்ட ஆவிதான்; தேவனே, நொறுங்குண்டதும் நருங்குண்டதுமான இருதயத்தை நீர் புறக்கணியீர்.”

சிந்திக்க: நான் உண்மையான மற்றும் தாழ்மையான இதயத்துடன் தேவனைத் தேடி, அவரை வெறும் சடங்காக இல்லாமல் அவருடைய அன்பில் வேரூன்றி ஆராதிக்கிறேனா?
