"Blog Y2 491 - Living for God’s Purpose"

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:6.

        Our thought life before God is more important than anything else. Even if we avoid committing sinful actions with our bodies, our minds can still be filled with pride, lust, jealousy, and other thoughts that are neither acceptable nor pleasing in God’s sight. The crucial question is whether our minds are governed by the Holy Spirit or by our own flesh.

        Thoughts controlled by the flesh lead us toward eternal death. However, when our minds and hearts are guided by the Holy Spirit, He leads us toward eternal life.

        Our ultimate goal should be to do the will of God’s purpose that cannot be fulfilled if we are solely driven by our own flesh and self-serving thoughts. Let us come into His presence and ask Him to fill us more with His Holy Spirit. May He be our Lord and our guide, and then we will undoubtedly reach our ultimate destination of eternal life and Peace. Galatians 6:8 says: "For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life."

Reflection: Am I inviting God's Spirit to transform my mind and shape my desires so that I choose His purpose over my own selfish inclinations?

மாம்சசிந்தை மரணம்; ஆவியின் சிந்தையோ ஜீவனும் சமாதானமுமாம். ரோமர் 8:6.

            தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கையில், சிந்தனை எல்லாவற்றையும்விட முக்கியமானது. நம் சரீரத்தால் பாவச் செயல்களைச் செய்வதை நாம் தவிர்த்தாலும், நம் மனதில் பெருமை, காமம், பொறாமை மற்றும் தேவனுடைய பார்வையில் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளத்தக்க அல்லது பிரியமில்லாத மற்ற எண்ணங்கள் நிறைந்திருக்கும். முக்கியமான கேள்வி என்னவென்றால், நம் மனதை பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் வழிநடத்துகிறாரா அல்லது நமது சொந்த மாம்ச சிந்தையால் நிர்வகிக்கப்படுகிறதா என்பதுதான்.

            சரீரத்தால் வழிநடத்தப்படும் எண்ணங்கள் நம்மை நித்திய மரணத்தை நோக்கி வழிநடத்துகின்றன. ஆனால், நமது மனதும் இருதயமும் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரால் வழிநடத்தப்படும்போது, அவர் நம்மை நித்திய ஜீவனை நோக்கி வழிநடத்துகிறார்.

            நமது இறுதி இலக்கு தேவனுடைய சித்தத்தைச் செய்வதாக இருக்க வேண்டும், நம்முடைய சொந்த சரீரத்தினாலும் சுயநல எண்ணங்களினாலும் மட்டுமே நாம் செயல்பட்டால் இந்த நோக்கம் நிறைவேறாது. நாம் அவருடைய பிரசன்னத்தில் வந்து, அவருடைய பரிசுத்த ஆவியினால் நம்மை அதிகம் நிரப்பும்படி அவரிடம் கேட்போம். அவர் நம் தேவனாகவும் வழிகாட்டியாகவும் இருக்கும்போது, நாம் நிச்சயமாக நம் இறுதியான இலக்கான நித்திய ஜீவனையும் சமாதானத்தையும் அடைவோம். கலாத்தியர் 6:8 சொல்லுகிறது: “தன் மாம்சத்திற்கென்று விதைக்கிறவன் மாம்சத்தினால் அழிவை அறுப்பான்; ஆவிக்கென்று விதைக்கிறவன் ஆவியினாலே நித்தியஜீவனை அறுப்பான்”

சிந்திக்க: நான் தேவஆவியின் பிரசன்னத்தை, என் மனதை மாற்றவும், என் ஆசைகளை வடிவமைக்கவும் அழைத்து, எனது சொந்த சுயநல விருப்பங்களை வெறுத்து தேவனுடைய நோக்கத்தை நான் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கிறேனா?
