"Blog Y2 495 - God’s Word Leads to Life"

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. John 5:39.

        The Scriptures are the voice of God, His divine love letter to us. Every word in the Bible carries life and spirit, for it is the living truth. No other book can lead us to eternal life; only the Word of God can. The books of this world may provide knowledge, but their words are fallible, sometimes true, sometimes false. They cannot be fully trusted.

        Reading the Bible without seeking Jesus is like admiring a road sign without following where it leads. The Pharisees knew the Scriptures well but failed to recognize the One they spoke about, the source of eternal life. We must not only read but also allow His Word to transform our hearts, drawing us closer to Him.

        Our responsibility is to search the Scriptures, to go deep into them with a heart willing to receive. May the Holy Spirit be our guide, teaching us and revealing the eternal truth. John 20:31 says: “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name."

Reflection: Am I immersing myself in God's Word with a heart open to transformation, seeking not just knowledge but a deeper relationship with Jesus, the source of eternal life?

வேதவாக்கியங்களை ஆராய்ந்துபாருங்கள்; அவைகளால் உங்களுக்கு நித்தியஜீவன் உண்டென்று எண்ணுகிறீர்களே, என்னைக்குறித்துச் சாட்சிகொடுக்கிறவைகளும் அவைகளே. யோவான் 5:39.  

            வேதவாக்கியங்கள் தேவனுடைய குரல், அவருடைய தெய்வீக அன்பு கடிதம். பைபிளில் உள்ள ஒவ்வொரு வார்த்தையும் உயிரையும் ஆவியையும் எடுத்துச் செல்கிறது, ஏனென்றால் அது உயிருள்ள சத்தியம். வேறு எந்த புத்தகமும் நம்மை நித்திய ஜீவனுக்கு வழிநடத்த முடியாது; தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையால் மட்டுமே முடியும். இந்த உலகத்தின் புத்தகங்கள் அறிவை வழங்கலாம், ஆனால் அவற்றின் வார்த்தைகள் தவறானவை, சில நேரங்களில் உண்மையானவை, சில நேரங்களில் பொய்யானவை. அவைகளை முழுமையாக நம்ப முடியாது.

            இயேசுவைத் தேடாமல் பரிசுத்த வேதாகமத்தைப் படிப்பது, சாலை குறியீட்டைப்  பார்த்து அது எங்கே கொண்டு செல்கிறது என்பதைப் பின்பற்றாமல் அதை ரசிப்பதைப் போன்றது. பரிசேயர்கள் வேதவசனங்களை நன்கு அறிந்திருந்தார்கள், ஆனால் அவைகள் பேசிய இயேசுவை, நித்திய ஜீவனின் ஊற்றை அடையாளம் காணத் தவறிவிட்டனர். நாம் வாசிப்பது மட்டுமல்லாமல் , அவருடைய வார்த்தை நம் இருதயங்களை மாற்ற அனுமதித்து, நம்மை அவரிடம் நெருங்கி வரச் செய்ய வேண்டும்.

            நாம் செய்ய வேண்டியது வேதாகமத்தை ஆராய்வதும், ஆழமாக சென்று அதன் வார்த்தைகளை ஏற்கத் தயாராக இருப்பதுமாகும். பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் நமக்கு வழிகாட்டியாக இருந்து, நமக்குப் போதித்து, நித்திய சத்தியத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துவாராக. யோவான் 20:31 சொல்லுகிறது: “இயேசு தேவனுடைய குமாரனாகிய கிறிஸ்து என்று நீங்கள் விசுவாசிக்கும்படியாகவும், விசுவாசித்து அவருடைய நாமத்தினாலே நித்தியஜீவனை அடையும்படியாகவும், இவைகள் எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.”

சிந்திக்க: நான் என் இதயத்தை முழு மாற்றத்திற்கு திறந்து வைத்து, தேவனின் வார்த்தையில் முழுமையாக ஈடுபட்டு, வெறும் அறிவை மட்டுமல்லாமல் நித்திய ஜீவனின் ஆதாரமான இயேசுவுடன் ஆழ்ந்த உறவை தேடுகிறேனா?
