"Blog Y2 503 - Seeking God's Light and Guidance"

Make Your face shine upon Your servant, And teach me Your statutes. Psalms 119:135.

        In this world, we see so many education systems and teachings about various aspects of life, but only God's statutes provide the wisdom that leads to eternal life. His Word teaches us how to live in righteousness, make wise decisions, and walk in His ways. When we spend more time learning about worldly matters, how much more should we dedicate ourselves to sitting in the presence of God and learning about our eternal life? When we humbly seek Him, He reveals His truth, transforming our hearts and minds.

        When God's face shines upon us, it signifies His favor, love, and presence in our lives. Just as the sun gives light, warmth, and direction, God’s presence illuminates our path and fills our hearts with peace. Without His light, we are lost in darkness, unable to navigate life’s challenges. The psalmist longed not only for God’s favor but also for His teaching, knowing that true wisdom and guidance come from His Word.

        Our Lord God assures us that He will teach us. Our part is simply to sit at His feet and listen, that is all. The Holy Spirit is our Teacher, when we spend time in His presence through prayer and Scripture, we experience the joy of His radiance in our lives. Numbers 6:25 says: "The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you."

Reflection: Am I prioritizing time in God's presence, allowing His wisdom to shape my heart and guide my steps, rather than being consumed by worldly knowledge?

உமது அடியேன்மேல் உமது முகத்தைப் பிரகாசிக்கப்பண்ணி, உமது பிரமாணங்களை எனக்குப் போதியும். சங்கீதம் 119:135.

            இந்த உலகத்தில், வாழ்க்கையின் பல்வேறு அம்சங்களைப் பற்றிய பல கல்வி முறைகளையும் போதனைகளையும் நாம் காண்கிறோம், ஆனால் தேவனுடைய பிராமணங்கள் மட்டுமே நித்திய ஜீவனுக்கு வழிநடத்தும் ஞானத்தை அளிக்கின்றன. நீதியாய் வாழ்வது, ஞானமான தீர்மானங்களை எடுப்பது, அவருடைய வழிகளில் நடப்பது எப்படி என்பதை அவருடைய வார்த்தை நமக்குக் கற்பிக்கிறது. உலக விஷயங்களைக் கற்றுக்கொள்வதற்கு நாம் அதிக நேரம் செலவிடும்போது, தேவனுடைய சமூகத்தில் உட்கார்ந்து நமது நித்திய ஜீவனைக் கற்றுக்கொள்வதற்கு இன்னும் எவ்வளவு நம்மை அர்ப்பணிக்க வேண்டும்? நாம் தாழ்மையுடன் அவரைத் தேடும்போது, அவர் தமது சத்தியத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தி, நமது இருதயங்களையும் மனங்களையும் மாற்றுகிறார்.

            தேவனுடைய முகம் நம்மீது பிரகாசிக்கும் போது, அது அவருடைய தயவையும், அன்பையும், நம் வாழ்வில் இருப்பதையும் குறிக்கிறது. சூரியன் வெளிச்சத்தையும், சூட்டையும், திசையையும் கொடுப்பது போல, தேவனுடைய பிரசன்னம் நம் பாதையை ஒளிரச் செய்து, நம் இருதயங்களை சமாதானத்தால் நிரப்புகிறது. அவருடைய ஒளி இல்லாமல், நாம் இருளில் தொலைந்து போயிருப்போம், வாழ்க்கையின் சவால்களை எதிர்கொள்ள முடியாமலிருப்போம். உண்மையான ஞானமும் வழிநடத்துதலும் அவருடைய வார்த்தையிலிருந்தே வருகின்றன என்பதை அறிந்திருந்த சங்கீதக்காரன் தேவனுடைய தயவுக்காக மட்டுமல்ல, அவருடைய போதனைக்காகவும் ஏங்கினார்.

            நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய தேவன் நமக்குக் கற்பிப்பேன் என்று நமக்கு உறுதியளிக்கிறார். நமது பங்கு வெறுமனே அவரது காலடியில் அமர்ந்து கேட்பது, அவ்வளவுதான். பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் நமது போதகர், ஜெபம் மற்றும் வேதத்தின் மூலம் நாம் அவரது பிரசன்னத்தில் நேரத்தை செலவிடும்போது, அவரது பிரகாசத்தின் மகிழ்ச்சியை நம் வாழ்வில் அனுபவிக்கிறோம். எண்ணாகமம் 6:25 சொல்லுகிறது: “கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய முகத்தை உன்மேல் பிரகாசிக்கப்பண்ணி, உன்மேல் கிருபையாயிருக்கக்கடவர்.”

சிந்திக்க: நான் தேவனுடைய பிரசன்னத்தின்  நேரத்திற்கு முன்னுரிமை அளித்து, உலக அறிவில் மூழ்குவதற்குப் பதிலாக, தேவனுடைய ஞானம் என் இருதயத்தை வடிவமைக்கவும், என் நடைகளை வழிநடத்தவும்  அனுமதிக்கிறேனா?
