"Blog Y2 504 - The Good Shepherd Saves"

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. John 10:11.

        If there is a Good Shepherd, there must also be a bad shepherd. The Good Shepherd keeps His eyes and heart on His sheep because they are so precious to Him. Even if it means giving His life for them, He will do it! But on the other hand, a hired shepherd works for money. He has no genuine concern for the sheep. He will try to save his own life when danger comes to the sheep rather than protecting the sheep.

        The importance of salvation is at the heart of Jesus’ words. As the Good Shepherd, He gave His life on the cross so that we, His sheep, could be rescued from sin and death. His crucifixion was not just an act of suffering but a divine exchange—our sin for His righteousness, our death for His life. Without His sacrifice, we would be like lost sheep, wandering in darkness with no hope of return. But through His death and resurrection, He opened the way for eternal life, offering salvation to all who believe in Him. His blood became the price of our redemption.

        When we surrender and dedicate our lives as His sheep, He will never leave or forsake us. His eyes will always be on us, and guard us. He will never hand us over to the enemy. He will guide us, feed us, and protect us. John 15:13 says: "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends."

Reflection: Am I fully surrendering my life to the care of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, trusting in His sacrifice, guidance, and protection, or am I following paths that lead me away from His loving presence?

நானே நல்ல மேய்ப்பன்: நல்ல மேய்ப்பன் ஆடுகளுக்காகத் தன் ஜீவனைக் கொடுக்கிறான். யோவான் 10:11.

            ஒரு நல்ல மேய்ப்பன் இருந்தால், ஒரு கெட்ட மேய்ப்பனும் இருக்க வேண்டும். நல்ல மேய்ப்பன் தன் ஆடுகளின் மீது தன் கண்களையும் இருதயத்தையும் வைத்திருப்பான், ஏனென்றால் அவை அவனுக்கு மிகவும் அருமையானவை. அவைகளுக்காக தன்னுடைய ஜீவனைக் கொடுப்பதாக இருந்தாலும், அவன் அதைச் செய்வான்! ஆனால் மறுபட்சத்தில், ஒரு கூலி மேய்ப்பன் பணத்திற்கு வேலை செய்கிறான். அவனுக்கு ஆடுகள் மீது உண்மையான அக்கறை இல்லை. ஆடுகளைக் காப்பாற்றுவதற்குப் பதிலாக ஆடுகளுக்கு ஆபத்து வரும்போது தன் உயிரைக் காப்பாற்றிக் கொள்ள முயல்வான்.

            இந்த வார்த்தைகளின் மையத்தில் இயேசுவின் இரட்சிப்பின் முக்கியத்துவம் உள்ளது. நல்ல மேய்ப்பனாக, அவருடைய ஆடுகளாகிய நாம் பாவத்திலிருந்தும் மரணத்திலிருந்தும் மீட்கப்படுவதற்காக அவர் சிலுவையில் தம்முடைய ஜீவனைக் கொடுத்தார். அவரது சிலுவை மரணம் வெறுமனே துன்பத்தின் செயல் அல்ல, ஆனால் ஒரு தெய்வீக பரிமாற்றமாகும்.  நம் பாவத்திற்காக அவர் நீதியையும், நம் மரணத்திற்காக அவர் உயிரையும் கொடுத்தார். அவருடைய தியாகம் இல்லாவிட்டால், நாம் காணாமற்போன ஆடுகளைப் போல, திரும்பி வருவதற்கான நம்பிக்கையின்றி இருளில் அலைந்து திரிந்திருப்போம். ஆனால் அவருடைய மரணம் மற்றும் உயிர்த்தெழுதல் மூலம், அவர் நித்திய ஜீவனுக்கான வழியைத் திறந்து, அவரை விசுவாசிக்கும் அனைவருக்கும் இரட்சிப்பை வழங்கினார். அவருடைய இரத்தம் நமது மீட்பின் விலைக்கரயமாயிற்று.

            நாம் அவருடைய ஆடுகளாக நமது வாழ்க்கையை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து அர்ப்பணிக்கும்போது, அவர் நம்மை ஒருபோதும் கைவிடமாட்டார் அல்லது விட்டு விடமாட்டார். அவர் கண்கள் எப்பொழுதும் நம்மேல் இருக்கும், நம்மைக் காக்கும். அவர் நம்மை ஒருபோதும் எதிரியிடம் ஒப்படைக்க மாட்டார். அவர் நம்மை வழிநடத்துவார், நமக்கு உணவளிப்பார், நம்மைப் பாதுகாப்பார். யோவான் 15:13 சொல்லுகிறது: “ஒருவன் தன் சிநேகிதருக்காகத் தன் ஜீவனைக் கொடுக்கிற அன்பிலும் அதிகமான அன்பு ஒருவரிடத்திலுமில்லை.” 

சிந்திக்க: நல்ல மேய்ப்பனாகிய இயேசுவின் பராமரிப்புக்கு நான் என் வாழ்க்கையை முழுமையாக ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து, அவருடைய தியாகம், வழிநடத்துதல் மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பில் நம்பிக்கை வைக்கிறேனா, அல்லது அவருடைய அன்பான பிரசன்னத்திலிருந்து என்னை விலகச் செய்யும் பாதைகளை நான் பின்பற்றுகிறேனா?
