"Blog Y2 513 - God, My Eternal Portion"

O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot. Psalm 16:5.

        What a beautiful declaration, affirming that God is our all-in-all! Many mistakenly believe that this world is their permanent home. Satan has blinded their eyes, preventing them from seeing the truth. Yet, this worldly life is temporary, and we must look forward to inheriting the eternal kingdom. As children of God, our focus should not be on earthly things but on Him. Our portion, inheritance, cup, and everything we have are found in the Lord, the Creator of heaven and earth.

        This promise is beautifully fulfilled in Jesus Christ, our Savior. In the same chapter, verse 10, “For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.” points directly to Christ's resurrection, the ultimate demonstration of victory over death. Through Jesus' triumph, we have received the greatest inheritance of eternal life and salvation. He overcame the grave so that we might share in His glorious promise. No matter how broken our past may seem, salvation through Jesus restores us and grants us a secure hope in Him. As we trust in the risen Savior, we are given new life, peace, and the assurance that we are never abandoned.

        From birth to this day, He has guided and led us. Even when we strayed, He never gave up on us. While people in this world may disappoint us, our loving Heavenly Father never will. Like King David, we can boldly declare that the Lord is our portion and our inheritance. He alone is our prize, our joy, and our delight. Psalm 73:26 says: "My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."

Reflection: Am I relying on Jesus as my source of lasting hope and fulfillment, trusting Him to guide me through life’s uncertainties and restore what feels broken in my heart?

கர்த்தர் என் சுதந்தரமும் என் பாத்திரத்தின் பங்குமானவர்; என் சுதந்தரத்தை தேவரீர் காப்பாற்றுகிறீர். சங்கீதம் 16:5.

            என்ன ஒரு அழகான அறிவிப்பு, நம் அனைவரின் அனைத்துமாக இருக்கிறார் என்பதை உறுதிப்படுத்தும் ஒரு அழகான அறிவிப்பு! இந்த உலகமே தங்களின் நிரந்தர வீடு என்று பலர் தவறாக நம்புகிறார்கள். சாத்தான் அவர்களுடைய கண்களைக் குருடாக்கி, சத்தியத்தைப் பார்க்க முடியாதபடி அவர்களைத் தடுத்திருக்கிறான். ஆயினும், இந்த உலக வாழ்க்கை தற்காலிகமானது, நித்திய இராஜ்யத்தை சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ள நாம் ஆவலோடு காத்திருக்க வேண்டும். தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளாகிய நமது கவனம் பூமிக்குரிய காரியங்களில் அல்ல, ஆனால் அவர் மீதே இருக்க வேண்டும். நமது பங்கு, சுதந்தரம், வெற்றி  மற்றும் நம்மிடமுள்ள அனைத்தும் வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் படைத்த கர்த்தரிடத்தில் காணப்படுகின்றன.

            இந்த வாக்குத்தத்தம் நம்முடைய இரட்சகராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவில் அழகாக நிறைவேறுகிறது. அதே அதிகாரத்தில், வசனம் 10-ல், "என் ஆத்துமாவைப் பாதாளத்தில் விடீர்; உம்முடைய பரிசுத்தவானை அழிவைக் காணவொட்டீர்." என்பது கிறிஸ்துவின் உயிர்த்தெழுதலை நேரடியாக சுட்டிக்காட்டுகிறது, இது மரணத்தின் மீதான வெற்றியின் உன்னதக் காட்சியாகும். இயேசுவின் வெற்றியின் மூலம், நித்திய ஜீவன் மற்றும் இரட்சிப்பின் மிகப்பெரிய சுதந்தரத்தை நாம் பெற்றிருக்கிறோம். அவருடைய மகிமையான வாக்குத்தத்தத்தில் நாம் பங்குகொள்ளும்படியாக அவர் மரணத்தை ஜெயித்தார். நமது கடந்த காலம் எவ்வளவு உடைந்துவிட்டதாகத் தோன்றினாலும், இயேசுவின் மூலம் இரட்சிப்பு நம்மை மீட்டெடுத்து, அவரில் ஒரு பாதுகாப்பான நம்பிக்கையை நமக்கு அளிக்கிறது. உயிர்த்தெழுந்த இரட்சகரை நாம் நம்பும்போது, நாம் புதிய வாழ்க்கை, சமாதானம், மற்றும் நாம் ஒருபோதும் கைவிடப்படமாட்டோம் என்ற உறுதியைப் பெறுகிறோம்.

            பிறந்தது முதல் இந்நாள் வரை அவர் நம்மை வழிநடத்தி வருகிறார். நாம் வழிதவறிச் சென்றபோதும் அவர் நம்மைக் கைவிடவில்லை. இந்த உலகத்திலுள்ள ஜனங்கள் நம்மை ஏமாற்றினாலும், நமது அன்பான பரலோக பிதா ஒருபோதும் ஏமாற்றமாட்டார். தாவீது ராஜாவைப் போல, கர்த்தர் நமது பங்கு மற்றும் நமது சுதந்தரம் என்று தைரியமாக அறிவிக்கலாம். அவர் ஒருவரே நமது பரிசு, நமது ஆனந்தம், நமது மகிழ்ச்சி. சங்கீதம் 73:26 சொல்லுகிறது: “என் மாம்சமும் என் இருதயமும் மாண்டுபோகிறது; தேவன் என்றென்றைக்கும் என் இருதயத்தின் கன்மலையும் என் பங்குமாயிருக்கிறார்.”

சிந்திக்க: எனது நீடித்த நம்பிக்கை மற்றும் நிறைவேற்றத்தின் ஆதாரமாக நான் இயேசுவை நம்பி, வாழ்க்கையின் நிச்சயமற்ற தன்மைகள் மூலம் என்னை வழிநடத்தவும், என் இதயத்தில் உடைந்த உணர்வுகளை மீட்டெடுக்கவும் அவரை நம்புகிறேனா?
