"Blog Y2 542 - Healed by His Stripes"

Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness, by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24.

Yes, we are sinners. No one else can restore our lives. According to the standards of this world, if we make a mistake or commit a crime, we are punished, justice is swift and unforgiving. In those days, one who is cursed deserves to be hanged on a tree; that is the judgment of the world.

But see the love of our Heavenly Father, He sent His only Son to take our place. Jesus, our Lord, bore all our sins in His body so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness. Both our spiritual and physical healing flow from His wounds. By His stripes, we are healed. He stretched out His hands to be nailed. He allowed His feet to be pierced. He surrendered Himself to be whipped. His entire body was broken, all because of our sins.

When we sin with our hands, let us remember His pierced hands. When our feet lead us into sin, let us recall His nailed feet. When our minds are filled with sinful thoughts, may we remember the pain caused by the crown of thorns on His head. Until our last breath, may God Almighty help us live a life that glorifies Him. Isaiah 53:5 says: “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”

Reflection: Am I truly allowing the sacrifice Jesus made for me to shape how I live, think, and act, remembering His wounds every time I am tempted to sin? 

நாம் பாவங்களுக்குச் செத்து, நீதிக்குப் பிழைத்திருக்கும்படிக்கு, அவர்தாமே தமது சரீரத்திலே நம்முடைய பாவங்களைச் சிலுவையின்மேல் சுமந்தார்; அவருடைய தழும்புகளால் குணமானீர்கள். 1 பேதுரு 2:24

ஆம், நாம் பாவிகள். வேறு யாரும் நம் வாழ்க்கையை சீர்படுத்த  முடியாது. இந்த உலக நியதிகளின்படி, நாம் ஒரு தவறு செய்தால் அல்லது குற்றம் செய்தால், நாம் தண்டிக்கப்படுகிறோம், நீதி விரைவானது மற்றும் மன்னிக்க முடியாதது. அந்த நாட்களில் சபிக்கப்பட்டவன் மரத்தில் தூக்கிலிடப்பட வேண்டும்; அதுவே உலகத்தின் தீர்ப்பு.

ஆனால் நமது பரலோக பிதாவின் அன்பைப் பாருங்கள், அவர் தம்முடைய ஒரே குமாரனை நமக்காகத்  தியாகமாக அனுப்பினார். நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு, நாம் பாவத்திற்கு மரித்து நீதிக்காக பிழைக்கும்படிக்கு, நம்முடைய பாவங்களையெல்லாம் தம்முடைய சரீரத்தில் சுமந்தார். நமது ஆவிக்குரிய மற்றும் சரீர சுகம்  இரண்டும் அவருடைய காயங்களின் மூலம் பெறுகின்றோம். அவருடைய தழும்புகளால், நாம் குணமாகிறோம். ஆணியடிக்கப்படுவதற்காக கைகளை நீட்டினார். அவர் தனது கால்களை குத்த அனுமதித்தார். அவர் சாட்டையால் அடிக்கப்படுவதற்கு தன்னைத்தானே ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார். அவரது முழு உடலும் நமது பாவங்களுக்காக சிதைக்கப்பட்டது.

நாம் நம் கைகளால் பாவம் செய்யும்போது, அவரது துளைக்கப்பட்ட  கைகளை நினைவுகூருவோம். நமது பாதங்கள் நம்மை பாவத்திற்குள் வழிநடத்தும்போது, ஆணியடிக்கப்பட்ட அவரது பாதங்களை நினைவுகூருவோம். நமது மனம் பாவ நினைவுகளால் நிறைந்திருக்கும்போது, அவருடைய தலையில் முள் கிரீடத்தினால் ஏற்பட்ட வலியை நினைவுகூருவோம். நமது கடைசி மூச்சு வரை, எல்லாம் வல்ல தேவன் தம்மை மகிமைப்படுத்தும் வாழ்க்கையை வாழ நமக்கு உதவுவாராக. ஏசாயா 53:5 சொல்லுகிறது: “நம்முடைய மீறுதல்களினிமித்தம் அவர் காயப்பட்டு, நம்முடைய அக்கிரமங்களினிமித்தம் அவர் நொறுக்கப்பட்டார்; நமக்குச் சமாதானத்தை உண்டுபண்ணும் ஆக்கினை அவர்மேல் வந்தது; அவருடைய தழும்புகளால் குணமாகிறோம்.” 

சிந்திக்க: நான் பாவம் செய்ய தூண்டப்படும் ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் அவருடைய காயங்களை நினைவுகூர்ந்து, நான் எப்படி வாழ்கிறேன், சிந்திக்கிறேன், செயல்படுகிறேன் என்பதை இயேசு எனக்காக செய்த தியாகம் வடிவமைக்க நான் அனுமதிக்கிறேனா?
