"Blog Y2 565 - Rest Only in His Presence"

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28.

We are living in a chaotic world. Especially in this season, many of us are facing overwhelming challenges that leave us stressed, weary, and burdened. We carry the weight of life in our hearts as we move through each day.

The people of the world often seek rest and peace through temporary means, momentary pleasures, distractions, or escapes. Yet, these offer only fleeting relief. True rest and lasting peace are found only in the presence of our Almighty God. His presence is our source of strength and our resting place. It brings peace and joy that the world cannot give or take away.

Though the world calls us to chase after temporary enjoyments to escape restlessness, God, in His love, has given us the willpower to choose the better way, His way. When we respond to His call, we receive a deep and lasting relief from the burdens we carry. Let our hearts be quick to answer His gentle invitation. He is the God who longs to give us rest and lift our heavy burdens. In His presence, we find the safest and most peaceful place to dwell. Psalm 55:22 says: “Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.”

Reflection: Am I truly seeking my rest and peace in God's presence each day, or am I still trying to ease my burdens through temporary comforts that never truly satisfy or sustain me?

நாம் ஒரு குழப்பமான உலகில் வாழ்கிறோம். குறிப்பாக இந்த நாட்களில், நம்மில் பலர் பெரும் சவால்களை எதிர்கொள்கிறோம், இது நம்மை மன அழுத்தம், சோர்வு மற்றும் பாரமான சூழ்நிலைக்கு மாற்றுகிறது. ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் நம் இதயத்தில் வாழ்க்கையின் பாரத்தை சுமந்து செல்கிறோம்.

உலக மக்கள் பெரும்பாலும் தற்காலிக வழிகள், நிலையில்லாத இன்பங்கள், கவனத்தைத் திருப்புதல் அல்லது தப்பித்தல் மூலம் ஓய்வையும் சமாதானத்தையும் தேடுகிறார்கள். என்றபோதிலும், இவை தற்காலிக நிவாரணத்தை மட்டுமே அளிக்கின்றன. உண்மையான இளைப்பாறுதலும் நிலையான சமாதானமும் நம்முடைய சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவனின் சன்னிதியில் மட்டுமே கிடைக்கிறது. அவருடைய பிரசன்னம் நமது பெலனுக்கும், இளைப்பாறுதலுக்கும் ஆதாரமாக இருக்கிறது. உலகம் கொடுக்க முடியாத மற்றும் பறிக்க முடியாத அமைதியையும் மகிழ்ச்சியையும் இது தருகிறது.

உலகமானது சமாதானமின்ன்மையிலிருந்து தப்பிக்க தற்காலிக இன்பங்களைத் தேடி ஓட நம்மை அழைத்தாலும், தேவன், தம்முடைய அன்பினால், சிறந்த வழியாகிய, அவருடைய வழியைத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்க நமக்கு மன உறுதியைக் கொடுத்துள்ளார். அவருடைய அழைப்புக்கு நாம் பதிலளிக்கும்போது, நாம் சுமக்கும் சுமைகளிலிருந்து ஆழமான மற்றும் நீடித்த விடுதலையைப் பெறுகிறோம். அவருடைய கனிவான அழைப்புக்கு, நம் இருதயங்கள் விரைவாக  அவரிடம் செல்லட்டும். நமக்கு இளைப்பாறுதல் கொடுக்கவும், நமது பாரங்களை மாற்றவும் தேவன் ஏங்குகிறார். அவரது சன்னிதியில் மட்டுமே நாம் வாழ மிகவும் பாதுகாப்பானதும் அமைதியானதுமான இடத்தை காண்கிறோம். சங்கீதம் 55:22 சொல்லுகிறது: “கர்த்தர்மேல் உன் பாரத்தை வைத்துவிடு, அவர் உன்னை ஆதரிப்பார்; நீதிமானை ஒருபோதும் தள்ளாடவொட்டார்.”

சிந்திக்க: ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் தேவனுடைய பிரசன்னத்தில் என் இளைப்பாறுதலையும் சமாதானத்தையும் நான் உண்மையிலேயே தேடுகிறேனா, அல்லது உண்மையான திருப்தியையும் நிலையான நிம்மதியையும் தர முடியாத தற்காலிக ஆறுதல்களில் என் பாரங்களை குறைக்க முயற்சிக்கிறேனா?
