"Blog Y2 568 - Carried by the Father’s Love"

As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him. Psalm 103:13.

God’s love is beyond comparison, far deeper, purer, and more enduring than any human love. Yet, to help us understand even a glimpse of how He feels toward us, God chose two of the most intimate and selfless forms of love to illustrate His own: a mother’s love and a father’s love.

A father’s love may not always be as openly expressed as a mother’s, but it is powerful, steadfast, and deeply intentional. Earthly fathers often hold back their anger and choose to discipline with love and patience. Though their correction may feel painful at the time, it is not rooted in punishment, but in a desire to shape their children’s character and prepare them for a righteous and meaningful life. In the same way, our Heavenly Father disciplines those He loves, not to condemn, but to transform.

Just as earthly fathers give their children chances to learn, grow, and change, so does our Heavenly Father extend grace and time for us to repent and be renewed. He does not expect perfection, but progress. And when we are weary, confused, or burdened, He lifts us up and carries us, just as a father might carry his child on his shoulders. In those moments, we may not see our own footprints because it is the Lord who is carrying us through.

Children look up to their fathers with a unique blend of love and respect. That same reverence, when directed toward our Heavenly Father, is what the Bible refers to as “the fear of the Lord”, a deep, awe-filled respect for His holiness, wisdom, and love. Isaiah 66:13 says: "As one whom his mother comforts, So I will comfort you.”

Reflection: Am I truly recognizing how deeply my Heavenly Father loves, corrects, and carries me, or am I resisting His discipline, forgetting that His goal is always my growth and renewal?

தகப்பன் தன் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு இரங்குகிறதுபோல, கர்த்தர் தமக்குப் பயந்தவர்களுக்கு இரங்குகிறார். சங்கீதம் 103:13.

தேவனுடைய அன்பு ஒப்பிட முடியாதது, எந்த மனித அன்பையும்விட மிக ஆழமானது, தூய்மையானது, நிலையானது. ஆனால், அவர் நம்மீது கொண்டிருக்கும் உணர்வுகளை நாம் எளிதாக புரிந்துகொள்ள உதவும் வகையில், ஒரு தந்தையின் அன்பும், ஒரு தாயின் அன்புமாகிய  இரண்டும் மிக ஆழமானதும் தியாகமானதும் ஆன உறவுகளை  நமக்கு உவமானமாகக் கொடுத்து, அவர் தம்முடைய அன்பை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார்.

ஒரு தந்தையின் அன்பு எப்போதும் ஒரு தாயின் அன்பு போல வெளிப்படையாக வெளிப்படுத்தப்படாமல் இருக்கலாம், ஆனால் அது சக்தி வாய்ந்தது, உறுதியானது மற்றும் ஆழ்ந்த நோக்கத்துடன் உள்ளது. பூமிக்குரிய தந்தைகள் பெரும்பாலும் தங்கள் கோபத்தை அடக்கி, அன்பு மற்றும் பொறுமையுடன் சிட்சை செய்கிறார்கள். அந்த நேரத்தில் அவர்களின் திருத்தம் வேதனையாக உணரப்பட்டாலும், அது தண்டனையில் வேரூன்றவில்லை, மாறாக தங்கள் குழந்தைகளின் குணாதிசயத்தை வடிவமைத்து அவர்களை ஒரு நீதியான மற்றும் அர்த்தமுள்ள வாழ்க்கைக்குத் தயார்படுத்தும் விருப்பத்தில் உள்ளது. அதேபோல், நமது பரலோகத் தந்தை தான் நேசிப்பவர்களைக் கண்டிப்பதற்காக அல்ல, மாறாக மாற்றுவதற்காக சிட்சை செய்கிறார்.

பூமிக்குரிய பிதாக்கள் தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு கற்றுக்கொள்ளவும், வளரவும், மாறவும் வாய்ப்புகளைக் கொடுப்பதைப் போலவே, நமது பரலோக பிதா நாம் மனந்திரும்பி புதுப்பிக்கப்படுவதற்கு கிருபையையும் நேரத்தையும் நீட்டிக்கிறார். அவர் முழுமையை எதிர்பார்க்கவில்லை, ஆனால் முன்னேற்றத்தை எதிர்பார்க்கிறார். நாம் சோர்வாகவோ, குழப்பமாகவோ அல்லது பாரமாகவோ இருக்கும்போது, ஒரு தகப்பன் தன் பிள்ளையைத் தன் தோள்களில் சுமப்பது போல, அவர் நம்மைத் தூக்கி சுமக்கிறார். அந்த தருணங்களில், நம் சொந்த கால்தடங்களை நாம் காணாமல் போகலாம், ஏனென்றால் கர்த்தர் நம்மை சுமந்து செல்கிறார்.

குழந்தைகள் தங்கள் தந்தையை அன்பு மற்றும் மரியாதையின் தனித்துவமான கலவையுடன் பார்க்கிறார்கள். அதே பயபக்தியை, நாம் பரலோக பிதாவிடம் செலுத்துவதை, வேதாகமம் குறிப்பிடுவது "கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுதல்", அதாவது, அவர் பரிசுத்தமும், ஞானமும், அன்பும் கொண்டவரென்பதை உணர்ந்து அவரிடம் வியக்கத்தக்க மரியாதையை செலுத்துவது. ஏசாயா 66:13 சொல்லுகிறது: “ஒருவனை அவன் தாய் தேற்றுவதுபோல் நான் உங்களைத் தேற்றுவேன்.”

சிந்திக்க:  என் பரலோகப் பிதா என்னை எவ்வளவு ஆழமாக நேசிக்கிறார், திருத்துகிறார், சுமக்கிறார் என்பதை நான் உண்மையிலேயே உணருகிறேனா? அல்லது, அவர் என் வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் புதுபித்தலுக்காகவே என்னை  தண்டிக்கிறார் என்பதை மறந்து, அவர் திருத்தத்திற்கு நான் எதிர்த்து நிற்கிறேனா?
