But the Lord has been my defense, And my God the rock of my refuge. Psalm 94:22.

When we meditate on this verse, “But the Lord…” it reminds us of the moments when the enemy and the whole world seem to rise against us. We feel abandoned, as though no one stands with us in our troubles, and we are left all alone.

“But the Lord”, yes, our Lord, has been our strong tower, defense, and protection. He is our unshakable rock, behind whom we can safely hide. He shields us from every evil plan and every attack of the enemy. His promises are ever faithful.

The only thing He expects from us is simple yet powerful: “TRUST”. Let us place our complete trust in Him and continually confess: Our Lord God, our Father, is our Rock, Refuge, and Defense. Psalm 91:3 reminds us of His assurance: “He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy, and He will protect you from false accusation and any deadly curse.”

Reflection: Am I resting in the truth that I am never truly alone, and am I trusting the One who defends me when all others fail and trouble surrounds me on every side?

"கர்த்தரோ எனக்கு..." என்ற இந்த வசனத்தை நாம் தியானிக்கும்போது, சத்துருவும் உலகமனைத்தும் நமக்கு விரோதமாக எழும்புகிற தருணங்களை இது நினைவூட்டுகிறது. நாம் கைவிடப்பட்டவர்களாக உணர்கிறோம், நம்முடைய பிரச்சனைகளில் யாரும் நம்முடன் நிற்பதில்லை, நாம் தனியாக விடப்பட்டோம் என்று தோன்றுகிறது.

“கர்த்தரோ எனக்கு,” ஆம், நம்முடைய கர்த்தர், நம்முடைய பலத்த துருகமும், தற்காப்பும், பாதுகாப்பும் ஆவார். அவர் நம்முடைய அசைக்க முடியாத கன்மலையாய் இருக்கிறார், அதன் பின்னால் நாம் பாதுகாப்பாக மறைந்துகொள்ளலாம். ஒவ்வொரு துர்சக்தியின் திட்டத்திலிருந்தும் சத்துருவின் ஒவ்வொரு தாக்குதலிலிருந்தும் அவர் நம்மை காக்கிறார். அவருடைய வாக்குறுதிகள் என்றென்றும் உண்மையுள்ளவை.

அவர் நம்மிடமிருந்து எதிர்பார்ப்பது ஒன்றே ஒன்றுதான், அது எளிமையானது ஆனால் சக்தி வாய்ந்தது: “நம்பிக்கை.” நாம் அவர்மீது முழு நம்பிக்கையை வைத்து தொடர்ந்து அறிக்கையிடுவோம்: நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர், நம்முடைய பிதா, நம்முடைய கன்மலை, அடைக்கலம், மற்றும் நம் பாதுகாப்பு. சங்கீதம் 91:3 அவருடைய உறுதிமொழியை நமக்கு நினைவூட்டுகிறது: "அவர் உன்னை வேடனுடைய கண்ணிக்கும், பாழாக்கும் கொள்ளைநோய்க்கும் தப்புவிப்பார்."
