"Blog Y2 604 - Hunger for Heavenly Wisdom"

The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge. Proverbs 18:15. 

In a world overflowing with information yet often lacking true wisdom, this verse from Proverbs reminds us of the great value God places on a discerning heart and a listening ear. The knowledge of God is the most important treasure we can acquire in our lives. When we have a true hunger and thirst for Him, God will surely pour out His Spirit of knowledge upon us. A heart that longs for Him and ears that are tuned to His Word will be filled with the understanding we need.

The “prudent” in this verse refers to someone who is spiritually discerning and thoughtful, lives with foresight, humility, and self-control. A prudent person recognizes their need for instruction and does not assume they know it all. They listen before they speak, and they weigh decisions with care and reverence. This kind of prudence is the fruit of walking with the Lord, being led by His Spirit, and consistently seeking truth.

When His Spirit fills our hearts, He imparts all the knowledge we need to walk in His truth. Let us therefore seek Him earnestly, with a heart that yearns and ears that listen, so that we may be filled with the knowledge that comes from above, for His glory. In Isaiah 44:3, God promises to satisfy those who thirst after righteousness: “For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring.”

Reflection: Am I truly pursuing a heart that listens and a mind open to learning, trusting that God will fill me with the knowledge and wisdom I need to walk faithfully in His truth?

புத்திமானுடைய மனம் அறிவைச் சம்பாதிக்கும்; ஞானியின் செவி அறிவை நாடும். நீதிமொழிகள் 18:15.

தகவல்கள் நிரம்பி வழிந்தாலும், பெரும்பாலும் உண்மையான ஞானம் இல்லாத இவ்வுலகில், நீதிமொழிகளின் இந்த வசனம் பகுத்தறியும் இருதயத்திற்கும், கேட்கும் காதுக்கும் தேவன் எவ்வளவு பெரிய மதிப்பை அளிக்கிறார் என்பதை நமக்கு நினைவூட்டுகிறது. தேவனைப் பற்றிய அறிவு நம் வாழ்வில் நாம் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளக்கூடிய மிக முக்கியமான பொக்கிஷம். நாம் அவருக்காக உண்மையான பசிதாகம் கொள்ளும்போது, தேவன் நிச்சயமாக தம்முடைய அறிவின் ஆவியை நம்மேல் பொழிவார். அவருக்காக ஏங்கும் இருதயமும், அவருடைய வார்த்தைக்கு இசைந்த காதுகளும் இருக்கும்போது தேவையான புரிதலால் நிரப்பப்படுவோம்.

இந்த வசனத்தில் "புத்திமான்" என்பது ஆவிக்குரிய முறையில் பகுத்தறியும் மற்றும் சிந்தனையுள்ள, தொலைநோக்குப் பார்வையுடனும், தாழ்மையுடனும், சுயகட்டுப்பாட்டுடனும் வாழ்பவரைக் குறிக்கிறது. ஒரு புத்திமான் தனக்கு போதனை தேவை என்பதை உணர்கிறான், எல்லாம் தனக்குத் தெரியும் என்று கருதுவதில்லை. பேசுவதற்கு முன் கேட்கிறான், முடிவுகளை கவனத்துடனும் பயபக்தியுடனும் ஆராய்கிறான். இந்த வகையான விவேகம் கர்த்தருடன் நடப்பதாலும், அவருடைய ஆவியால் வழிநடத்தப்படுவதாலும், மற்றும் தொடர்ச்சியாக சத்தியத்தைத் தேடுவதன் மூலம் கிடைக்கும் கனியாகும்.

அவருடைய ஆவியானவர் நம் இருதயங்களை நிரப்பும்போது, அவருடைய சத்தியத்தில் நடக்க தேவையான அனைத்து அறிவையும் அவர் அளிக்கிறார். ஆகையால், அவருடைய மகிமைக்காக, பரத்திலிருந்து வரும் அறிவால் நாம் நிரப்பப்படும்படி, வாஞ்சிக்கிற இருதயத்தோடும், கேட்கிற செவிகளோடும் அவரை ஊக்கமாய் தேடக்கடவோம். ஏசாயா 44:3 இல், நீதிக்காக தாகங்கொள்பவர்களை தேவன் திருப்திபடுத்துவார் என்று வாக்குறுதி அளிக்கிறார்: “தாகமுள்ளவன்மேல் தண்ணீரையும், வறண்ட நிலத்தின்மேல் ஆறுகளையும் ஊற்றுவேன்; உன் சந்ததியின்மேல் என் ஆவியையும், உன் சந்தானத்தின்மேல் என் ஆசீர்வாதத்தையும் ஊற்றுவேன்.”

சிந்திக்க: கேட்கும் இருதயத்தையும், கற்றுக்கொள்ள திறந்த மனதையும் நான் உண்மையிலேயே நாடி, தேவனுடைய சத்தியத்தில் உண்மையுடன் நடக்கத் தேவையான அறிவையும் ஞானத்தையும் அவர் எனக்குத் தருவார் என்று நம்புகிறேனா?
