"Blog Y2 605 - Blessed to Be a Blessing"

I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. Genesis 12:2.

What a powerful and beautiful promise God gave to Abraham! Through him, we also inherit this promise by faith (Galatians 3:29). However, before God declared this blessing, He asked Abraham to leave his country, his people, and his father’s house (Genesis 12:1). In the same way, our loving Heavenly Father is calling us today to lay down anything that hinders our relationship with Him.

God desires to bless us, to make our name honorable, and to use us to be a blessing to others, but He must first separate us for His divine purpose. There are things in our lives, attachments, habits, sins, or distractions, that may stand in the way of His full blessing and fellowship. God is not asking us to abandon our families or flee from every difficult situation. Instead, He is calling us to flee from sin, compromise, and everything that blocks His presence and blessings in our lives.

Let us open our hearts to the Holy Spirit and ask Him to reveal anything in us that is hindering God’s blessing. May He give us the grace and strength to surrender all, so we can fully receive and reflect the blessings of our loving Father. God not only wants to bless us, He wants to make us a blessing to the world around us. Matthew 6:33 says: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

Reflection: Am I willing to surrender anything that stands between me and God’s purpose, so that I can not only receive His blessing but also become a vessel of blessing to others around me?

நான் உன்னைப் பெரிய ஜாதியாக்கி, உன்னை ஆசீர்வதித்து, உன் பேரைப் பெருமைப்படுத்துவேன்; நீ ஆசீர்வாதமாய் இருப்பாய். ஆதியாகமம் 12:2.

ஆபிரகாமுக்கு தேவன் எவ்வளவு வல்லமைமிக்க அருமையான வாக்குறுதியைக் கொடுத்தார்! அவர் மூலமாக, நாமும் விசுவாசத்தினாலே இந்த வாக்குறுதியைச் சுதந்தரிக்கிறோம் (கலாத்தியர் 3:29). இருப்பினும், தேவன் இந்த ஆசீர்வாதத்தை அறிவிக்கும் முன், ஆபிரகாமை அவருடைய நாட்டையும், அவருடைய மக்களையும், அவருடைய தகப்பனுடைய வீட்டையும் விட்டு வரச் சொன்னார் (ஆதியாகமம் 12:1). அதேபோல, நம்முடைய அன்புள்ள பரலோகப் பிதா அவருடனான நம்முடைய உறவுக்குத் தடையாக இருக்கும் எதையும் விட்டுவிட இன்று நம்மை அழைக்கிறார்

தேவன் நம்மை ஆசீர்வதிக்கவும், நம்முடைய பெயரை கனப்படுத்தவும், மற்றவர்களுக்கு ஆசீர்வாதமாக நம்மைப் பயன்படுத்தவும் விரும்புகிறார், ஆனால் முதலில் அவர் தம்முடைய தெய்வீக நோக்கத்திற்காக நம்மைப் பிரித்தெடுக்க வேண்டும். நம் வாழ்வில் பற்றுதல்கள், பழக்கவழக்கங்கள், பாவங்கள் அல்லது கவனச்சிதறல்கள் போன்ற காரியங்கள் அவருடைய முழு ஆசீர்வாதத்திற்கும் ஐக்கியத்திற்கும் தடையாக இருக்கலாம். நம் குடும்பங்களைக் கைவிடவோ அல்லது ஒவ்வொரு கடினமான சூழ்நிலையிலிருந்தும் தப்பி ஓடவோ தேவன் நம்மை கேட்கவில்லை. மாறாக, பாவம், தேவை இல்லாதவற்றை ஓத்த்துக்கொள்ளுதல், மற்றும் நம் வாழ்வில் அவருடைய பிரசன்னத்தையும் ஆசீர்வாதங்களையும் தடுக்கும் அனைத்திலிருந்தும் விலகி  ஓட அவர் நம்மை அழைக்கிறார்.

நம் இருதயங்களை பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவருக்குத் திறந்து, தேவனுடைய ஆசீர்வாதத்தைத் தடுக்கும் எதையும் நமக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தும்படி அவரிடம் கேட்போம். நம்முடைய அன்புள்ள பிதாவின் ஆசீர்வாதங்களை முழுமையாகப் பெற்று பிரதிபலிக்க, அனைத்தையும் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்க அவர் நமக்கு கிருபையையும் பலத்தையும் தருவாராக. தேவன் நம்மை ஆசீர்வதிக்க விரும்புவது மட்டுமல்லாமல், நம்மைச் சுற்றியுள்ள உலகிற்கு ஆசீர்வாதமாக நம்மை மாற்றவும் விரும்புகிறார். மத்தேயு 6:33 சொல்லுகிறது: “முதலாவது தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தையும் அவருடைய நீதியையும் தேடுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது இவைகளெல்லாம் உங்களுக்குக் கூடக் கொடுக்கப்படும்.

சிந்திக்க: நான் தேவனுடைய ஆசீர்வாதத்தைப் பெறுவது மட்டுமல்லாமல், என்னைச் சுற்றியுள்ள மற்றவர்களுக்கும்  ஆசீர்வாதத்தின் பாத்திரமாக மாற, எனக்கும் தேவனுடைய நோக்கத்திற்கும் இடையில் நிற்கும் எதையும் விட்டுவிட தயாராக இருக்கிறேனா?
