"Blog Y2 606 - Fix Your Eyes on God Alone"

Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the Lord our God, Until He has mercy on us. Psalm 123:2 NKJV

When we are under someone’s authority, we naturally desire to please them and seek their favor. Our eyes remain fixed on them, hoping our requests will be granted. But earthly masters, no matter how well-intentioned, are still human. Their promises may fail. Their power is limited. One day, all worldly things will pass away.

But our God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, never changes. His word is final, His promises unshakable. Waiting in His presence is never in vain. When He speaks, it comes to pass. Therefore, our eyes must be fixed on Him alone, with patient hope, until He shows us mercy.

Let us be like Jacob, who clung to the Lord and declared, “I will not let You go unless You bless me.” For our God is full of unfailing love and abundant grace. He alone is worthy of our trust, our attention, and our devotion. Psalm 145:15-16 says: “The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.”

Reflection: Am I keeping my eyes on the One whose promises never fail, or am I still depending on people whose help and favor cannot compare with His mercy and faithfulness?

ஆனால் நம்முடைய தேவன், வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் சிருஷ்டித்தவர், ஒருபோதும் மாறுவதில்லை. அவருடைய வார்த்தை இறுதியானது, அவருடைய வாக்குறுதிகள் அசைக்க முடியாதவை. அவருடைய பிரசன்னத்தில் காத்திருப்பது ஒருபோதும் வீண் போகாது. அவர் பேசும்போது, அது நடக்கும். எனவே, அவர் நமக்கு இரக்கம் காட்டும் வரை, பொறுமையான நம்பிக்கையுடன், நம் கண்கள் அவர்மீது மட்டுமே நிலைத்திருக்க வேண்டும்.

கர்த்தரைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு, "நீர் என்னை ஆசீர்வதித்தால் ஒழிய நான் உம்மைப் போகவிடமாட்டேன்" என்று அறிவித்த யாக்கோபைப் போல நாம் இருப்போம். ஏனெனில் நம் தேவன் மாறாத அன்பும், ஏராளமான கிருபையும் நிறைந்தவர். நம்முடைய நம்பிக்கைக்கும், கவனத்திற்கும், பக்திக்கும் அவர் மட்டுமே தகுதியானவர். சங்கீதம் 145:15-16 சொல்லுகிறது: “எல்லா ஜீவன்களின் கண்களும் உம்மை நோக்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது; ஏற்ற வேளையிலே நீர் அவைகளுக்கு ஆகாரங்கொடுக்கிறீர். நீர் உமது கையைத் திறந்து, சகல பிராணிகளின் வாஞ்சையையும் திருப்தியாக்குகிறீர்.”

சிந்திக்க: தேவனுடைய இரக்கம் மற்றும் உண்மைக்கு ஒப்பாக முடியாத மனிதர்களின் உதவியின்மேலும் தயவின்மேலும் இன்னும் நம்பிக்கை வைக்காமல், நான் என் பார்வையை, நிச்சயமாக நிறைவேறும் வாக்குறுதிகளைத் தரும் ஆண்டவர்மேல் வைத்து இருக்கிறேனா?
