Blog Y2 662 - "Carriers of His Light"

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.’ John 8:12.

When we see the sun, we feel its brightness and warmth. Imagine if there were no sun, the entire world would be in darkness. In the same way, without Jesus, our lives would be full of darkness.

But when we allow Jesus to take full control of our lives and choose to follow Him, His light shines around us and within us. Just as the moon reflects the light of the sun and shines beautifully on a dark night, giving a sense of peace and calm, we, too, receive light from Jesus and reflect it to the world.

His presence makes our path bright, clear, and safe. We experience His life-giving light, and we no longer walk in darkness. We do not stumble, for His light guides every step. Not only that, we are called to be carriers of His light, to spread it wherever we go, so that others may see and glorify our Father in heaven. John 12:46 says: “I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.”

Reflection: Am I allowing His light to guide my steps each day, and am I reflecting His brightness through my words and actions so that others may also see Him through me?

மறுபடியும் இயேசு ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: நான் உலகத்திற்கு ஒளியாயிருக்கிறேன், என்னைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவன் இருளிலே நடவாமல் ஜீவஒளியை அடைந்திருப்பான் என்றார். யோவான் 8:12.

நாம் சூரியனைக் காணும்போது, அதன் பிரகாசத்தையும் வெப்பத்தையும் உணர்கிறோம். சூரியன் இல்லையென்றால், உலகம் முழுவதும் இருளில் மூழ்கிவிடும். அதேபோல, இயேசு இல்லாமல் நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கை இருள் நிறைந்து இருக்கும்.

ஆனால் நாம் இயேசுவுக்கு நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கையின் முழு கட்டுப்பாட்டையும் கொடுத்து, அவரைப் பின்பற்றத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கும்போது, அவருடைய ஒளி நமக்குள்ளும் நம்மைச் சுற்றிலும் பிரகாசிக்கிறது. சந்திரன் சூரியனின் ஒளியைப் பிரதிபலித்து, இருண்ட இரவில் அழகாகப் பிரகாசிப்பது போல, அமைதியையும் நிம்மதியையும் அளிக்கிறது, அதேபோல் நாமும் இயேசுவிடமிருந்து ஒளியைப் பெற்று அதை உலகிற்குப் பிரதிபலிக்கிறோம்.

அவருடைய பிரசன்னம் நம் பாதையை பிரகாசமாகவும், தெளிவாகவும், பாதுகாப்பாகவும் ஆக்குகிறது. நாம் அவருடைய ஜீவ ஒளியை அனுபவிக்கிறோம், நாம் இனி இருளில் நடப்பதில்லை. அவருடைய ஒளி ஒவ்வொரு அடியையும் வழிநடத்துவதால் நாம் இடற மாட்டோம். அது மட்டுமல்ல, நாம் அவருடைய ஒளியினை  பிரதிபலித்து வெளிப்படுத்துகிறவர்களாக இருக்கவும், நாம் செல்லும் இடமெல்லாம் அதைப் பரப்புவதற்கும் அழைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளோம். அதனால் மற்றவர்களும் கண்டு நம் பரலோகத் தகப்பனை மகிமைப்படுத்த முடியும். யோவான் 12:46  சொல்லுகிறது: “என்னிடத்தில் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கிறவனெவனும் இருளில் இராதபடிக்கு, நான் உலகத்தில் ஒளியாக வந்தேன்.”

சிந்தனை: என்னுடைய ஒவ்வொரு அடியையும் வழிநடத்த அவருடைய ஒளியை நான் அனுமதித்து,  மற்றவர்கள் என்னிடத்தில் அவரைக் காணும்படி, என்னுடைய வார்த்தைகள் மற்றும் செயல்கள் மூலம் அவருடைய பிரகாசத்தை நான் பிரதிபலிக்கிறேனா?
