Blog Y3 677 - "God is Strength in My Weakness"

Then the Lord turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours,.... Have I not sent you?” Judges 6:14.

In Gideon’s time, he and his people had lost all hope. They were in a difficult and helpless situation, with no one to rise up against the Midianites. Gideon himself was discouraged and weak in spirit, forgetting that the Lord is Jehovah Nissi, our banner of victory.

It was in that very moment of weakness that the Lord of hosts, the God of mighty armies, appeared to Gideon and spoke to him. Though Gideon had only a little strength, God called him to move forward with that strength. The One who sent him was none other than the Almighty God! And through Him, Gideon brought victory and joy to the people of Israel.

In the same way, we too may face situations where we feel drained of all strength and hope. But let us remember: the God who is within us is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Not by our power, not by our might, but by the Spirit of God, we can stand firm, knowing that the God of victory is with us.

Today, just as He spoke to Gideon, He speaks to us: “Go in this might of yours.” We may feel weak, but the One who has sent us is with us. The battles belong to Him, and the victory is ours in Christ!

Reflection: Am I willing to step forward with the little strength I possess, trusting God to use it for triumph, and will I obey His call today, relying on His presence to bring victory where I feel weakest?

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் அவனை நோக்கிப்பார்த்து: உனக்கு இருக்கிற இந்தப் பலத்தோடே போ; ……. உன்னை அனுப்புகிறவர் நான் அல்லவா என்றார். நியாயாதிபதிகள் 6:14.

கிதியோன் காலத்தில், அவனும் அவனோடுள்ள  மக்களும் எல்லா நம்பிக்கையையும் இழந்திருந்தனர். மீதியானியர்களுக்கு எதிராக எழும்ப ஒருவரும் இல்லாததால், அவர்கள் ஒரு கடினமான, உதவியற்ற நிலையில் இருந்தனர். கிதியோன், ஜெஹோவா நிசி, அதாவது தேவன் நம்முடைய ஜெயக்கொடி என்பதை மறந்து, மனச்சோர்வடைந்து ஆவியில் பலவீனப்பட்டிருந்தான் .

அந்த பலவீனமான தருணத்தில், சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர், சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள சேனைகளின் தேவன், கிதியோனுக்குத் தோன்றி அவனோடு பேசினார். கிதியோனிடம் சிறிதளவு பலம் மட்டுமே இருந்தபோதிலும், அந்தப் பலத்துடன் முன்னேறும்படி தேவன் அவனைக் கட்டளையிட்டார். அவனை அனுப்பியவர் சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவனாக இருந்தார்! அவர் மூலமாக, கிதியோன் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்கு வெற்றியையும் மகிழ்ச்சியையும் கொண்டுவந்தான்.

அதேபோல, நாமும் பலமும் நம்பிக்கையும் முற்றிலும் வறண்டுபோன சூழ்நிலைகளைச் சந்திக்கலாம். ஆனால் நாம் இதை நினைவில் கொள்வோம்: நமக்குள்ளே இருப்பவர் உலகத்திலிருப்பவனைவிட பெரியவர் (1 யோவான் 4:4). நம்முடைய பலத்தினாலல்ல, நம்முடைய பராக்கிரமத்தினாலுமல்ல, தேவனுடைய ஆவியினாலேயே நாம் உறுதியாக நிற்க முடியும், ஏனெனில் ஜெயத்தின் தேவன் நம்மோடிருக்கிறார்.

இன்று, அவர் கிதியோனிடம் பேசியதுபோல, நம்மோடும் பேசுகிறார்: "உன் இந்த பலத்துடன் போ." நாம் பலவீனமாக உணரலாம், ஆனால் நம்மை அனுப்பியவர் நம்மோடிருக்கிறார். யுத்தங்கள் அவருடையவை, கிறிஸ்துவில் வெற்றி நமக்குரியது!

சிந்திக்க: நான் என்னிடமுள்ள சிறிய பலத்துடன் முன்னேற, அதைக் கொண்டு தேவன் வெற்றி தருவார் என்று நம்பி, என் பலவீனமான இடங்களில் வெற்றி கொண்டுவர அவருடைய பிரசன்னத்தின் மேல் நம்பிக்கை வைத்து, அவருடைய அழைப்புக்கு இன்று கீழ்ப்படிகிறேனா?
