Blog Y3 690 - "Doing Good Without Delay"

Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. James 4:17.

In the life of God’s children, every opportunity and situation is given with a purpose. God desires that we walk as Jesus Christ walked. Wherever He went, whenever He saw a need, He was moved with compassion and did good to those around Him. He never turned anyone away empty.

As children of God, we already know how to respond when someone is in need. We are called to act immediately, just as Jesus did. Today, He has placed us in His stead to continue His good works. If we know how to do good but fail to do it, the Word of God says it is sin. Therefore, let us confess those moments when we have been sluggish, indifferent, or careless, and missed the chance to do good. Let us ask the Lord to keep us spiritually alert, so that whenever our Father places us in a situation to bless or help someone, we may act quickly and faithfully.

This is the very reason we are still in this world, not to live for ourselves, but to glorify God by doing good to those who are in desperate need. Let us remain watchful and ready, that Christ may be revealed through our actions. Proverbs 3:27 says: “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so.”

Reflection: Am I staying spiritually alert and ready to respond immediately when I encounter someone in need, letting my actions demonstrate compassion and obedience?

தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளின் வாழ்க்கையில், ஒவ்வொரு வாய்ப்பும் சூழ்நிலையும் ஒரு நோக்கத்துடனேயே கொடுக்கப்படுகிறது. இயேசு கிறிஸ்து நடந்தது போலவே நாமும் நடக்க வேண்டும் என்று தேவன் விரும்புகிறார். அவர் எங்கே சென்றாலும், எப்போது ஒரு தேவையைக் கண்டாலும், அவர் இரக்கத்தால் அசைக்கப்பட்டு, தமக்கு அருகிலிருந்­தவர்களுக்கு நன்மை செய்தார். அவர் ஒருவரையும் வெறுங்கையாய் அனுப்பிவிடவில்லை.

தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளாகிய நாம், ஒருவருக்குத் தேவை ஏற்படும்போது எப்படிப் பிரதிபலிக்க வேண்டும் என்று ஏற்கனவே அறிந்திருக்கிறோம். இயேசு செய்தது போலவே, நாமும் உடனடியாகச் செயல்பட அழைக்கப்படுகிறோம். அவருடைய நற்கிரியை­களைத் தொடரும்படிக்கு, அவர் இன்று நம்மைத் தமக்கு மாற்றாக வைத்திருக்கிறார். நன்மை செய்ய நமக்குத் தெரிந்திருந்தும் அதைச் செய்யத் தவறினால், அது பாவம் என்று தேவனுடைய வார்த்தை சொல்கிறது. ஆகையால், நாம் சோம்பேறியாக, அலட்சியமாக அல்லது கவலையற்றவர்களாக இருந்து, நன்மை செய்வதற்கான வாய்ப்பைத் தவறவிட்ட தருணங்களை அறிக்கையிடுவோமாக. ஒருவருக்கு ஆசீர்வதிக்கவோ அல்லது உதவவோ நம்முடைய பிதா நம்மை ஒரு சூழ்நிலையில் வைக்கும்போது, நாம் விரைவாகவும் உண்மையாகவும் செயல்பட, நம்மை ஆவிக்குரிய ரீதியில் விழிப்புடன் வைக்கும்படி கர்த்தரைக் கேட்போமாக.

நாம் இன்னும் இந்த உலகத்தில் இருப்பதன் காரணம், நமக்காக வாழ்வதற்காக அல்ல, ஆனால் மிகவும் தேவைப்படுபவர்களுக்கு நன்மை செய்வதன் மூலம் தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தவேயாகும். நம்முடைய செயல்கள் மூலம் கிறிஸ்து வெளிப்படும்படி, நாம் விழிப்புடன், ஆயத்தமாக இருப்போமாக. நீதிமொழிகள் 3:27 சொல்லுகிறது: "நன்மைசெய்யும்படி உனக்குத் திராணியிருக்கும்போது, அதை செய்யத்தக்கவர்களுக்குச் செய்யாமல் இராதே."
