Blog Y3 691 - "Reflecting Christ’s Love Daily"

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44.

The Sermon on the Mount is one of the most precious teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. In it, He reveals the true heart of Christian living, "LOVE". Love is the foundation of a genuine Christian life.

Jesus teaches us to love not only those who love us but even our enemies. Humanly, this is extremely difficult, even impossible. But as the Lord said, “With God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26) When we walk closely with Jesus, when He becomes our dearest friend and soul companion, His nature begins to reflect in us.

When we were once enemies of God, Christ still loved us. He forgave us, saved us, and filled us with the joy of salvation. In the same way, Jesus calls us to do good to those who hate us and pray for those who persecute us. Though this may feel hard, it becomes possible when we are filled with the love and compassion of our Heavenly Father. Jesus showed us His example at the cross by saying, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” (Luke 23:34).

Let us therefore ask our Father God to fill our hearts with His divine love, the love that forgives, blesses, and overcomes evil with good. May the beauty of Jesus Christ be seen in us as we walk daily in His footsteps.

Reflection: Am I allowing God’s love to shape my thoughts and actions, so that even when I face unkindness or opposition, I can respond with the same compassion that Jesus showed to me?

சிந்தனை: நான் இரக்கமில்லாத அல்லது எதிர்ப்பான ஒரு சூழ்நிலையை எதிர்கொள்ளும்போதும், இயேசு எனக்குக் காண்பித்த அதே இரக்கத்துடன் என்னால் பதிலளிக்க முடியும்படி, தேவனுடைய அன்பு என் எண்ணங்களையும் செயல்களையும் வடிவமைக்க நான் அனுமதிக்கிறேனா?
