Blog Y3 692 - "Delight in His Presence"

For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. Psalms 84:10.

The presence of God is the safest and most joyful place in the entire universe! The world may offer pleasures, but they are only temporary and fleeting. Even if we were to spend thousands of days in places that seem delightful, the joy would eventually fade away. But the presence of our God is incomparable; there, we experience His unfailing love, peace, and everlasting joy.

Though the places of the wicked may appear attractive and promising, they ultimately lead to destruction. This is one of Satan’s cunning tricks to deceive God’s children and draw them away from the truth.

How much better it is to remain in the presence of our God, even if it means standing as a humble doorkeeper at His house, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness! The beauty, blessing, and satisfaction found in His presence far surpass anything this world can offer.

Like King David, let us also confess with our hearts: “Lord, Your presence is my delight. Satisfy me with Your love, guide me in Your ways, and protect me under the shadow of Your wings.” 

Reflection: Am I choosing to stay close to God’s presence each day, finding my true joy and safety in Him rather than being drawn toward the fleeting attractions that the world offers?

ஆயிரம் நாளைப்பார்க்கிலும் உமது பிராகாரங்களில் செல்லும் ஒரே நாள் நல்லது; ஆகாமியக் கூடாரங்களில் வாசமாயிருப்பதைப்பார்க்கிலும் என் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் வாசற்படியில் காத்திருப்பதையே தெரிந்துகொள்ளுவேன்.  சங்­கீதம் 84:10.

தேவனுடைய பிரசன்னமே இந்தப் பிரபஞ்சம் முழுவதிலும் பாதுகாப்பானதும் மிகவும் சந்தோஷமானதுமான இடமாகும்! உலகம் இன்பங்களை வழங்கலாம், ஆனால் அவை தற்காலிகமானவை, விரைவிலேயே கடந்துபோகக்கூடியவை. நாம் மகிழ்ச்சிக்குரியதாகத் தோன்றும் இடங்களில் ஆயிரக்கணக்கான நாட்கள் செலவழித்தாலும், அந்த மகிழ்ச்சி இறுதியில் மங்கிவிடும். ஆனால் நம்முடைய தேவனுடைய பிரசன்னம் ஒப்பிட முடியாதது; அங்கே, நாம் அவருடைய மாறாத அன்பையும், சமாதானத்தையும், நித்திய மகிழ்ச்சியையும் அனுபவிக்கிறோம்.

துன்மார்க்கரின் இடங்கள் கவர்ச்சியாகவும் நம்பிக்கைக்குரியதாகவும் தோன்றினாலும், அவை இறுதியில் அழிவுக்கு வழிவகுக்கும். இது தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளை ஏமாற்றி, சத்தியத்திலிருந்து அவர்களை விலக்கி இழுத்துச் செல்வதற்கான சாத்தானுடைய தந்திரமான சூழ்ச்சிகளில் ஒன்றாகும்.

ஆகவே, துன்மார்க்கத்தின் கூடாரங்களில் வாசம் பண்ணுவதைப் பார்க்கிலும், அவருடைய ஆலயத்தில் ஒரு தாழ்மையான வாசற்காவலனாக நின்றாலும், நம்முடைய தேவனுடைய பிரசன்னத்தில் நிலைத்திருப்பது எவ்வளவு உத்தமம்! அவருடைய பிரசன்னத்தில் காணப்படும் அழகும், ஆசீர்வாதமும், திருப்தியும் இந்த உலகம் கொடுக்கக்கூடிய எதையும்விட மிகவும் மேலானது.

தாவீது ராஜாவைப் போலவே, நாமும் நம்முடைய உள்ளத்தின் ஆழத்திலிருந்து  அறிக்கையிடுவோமாக: "ஆண்டவரே, உம்முடைய பிரசன்னமே என்னுடைய மகிழ்ச்சி. உம்முடைய அன்பினால் என்னை திருப்தியாக்கும், உம்முடைய வழிகளில் என்னை வழிநடத்தும், உம்முடைய செட்டைகளின் நிழலால் என்னைப் பாதுகாத்தருளும்.”

சிந்தனை: இந்த உலகம் அளிக்கும் கடந்துபோகும் கவர்ச்சிகளை நோக்கி இழுக்கப்படுவதைவிட, தேவனுடைய பிரசன்னத்திற்கு நெருக்கமாக இருக்க நான் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் தெரிவுசெய்து, அவரில் என்னுடைய உண்மையான மகிழ்ச்சியையும் பாதுகாப்பையும் காண்கிறேனா?
