Blog Y3 709 - "Hungering for God’s Word"

As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby. 1 Peter 2:2.

We all know how newborn babies crave milk. With deep hunger and thirst, they cry out loudly because they cannot bear the feeling of hunger. In the same way, God expects us to read and meditate on His Word with that same thirst and longing.

God’s Word is like pure milk, undiluted and filled with truth. It is not mixed with the opinions of the world. Just as a mother’s milk is like her life flowing into the child, giving nourishment, strength, and growth, so the Word of God gives us spiritual life, empowers us, and sustains us in our journey of faith.

Through His Word, we not only grow in faith, wisdom, and holiness, but we also experience a transformative power that shapes our lives. Both prayer and the Word of God are essential for our physical and spiritual growth. When we read and meditate on His Word day and night, it nourishes our souls and strengthens our lives in Christ.

Reflection: Am I longing for God’s Word with the same deep hunger and desire as a child seeking nourishment, allowing it to fill, strengthen, and shape my life each day?

நீங்கள் வளரும்படி, புதிதாய்ப் பிறந்த குழந்தைகளைப்போல, திருவசனமாகிய களங்கமில்லாத ஞானப்பாலின்மேல் வாஞ்சையாயிருங்கள். 1 பேதுரு 2:3

புதிதாய்ப் பிறந்த குழந்தைகள் பாலின் மீது வைக்கும் வாஞ்சை நமக்குத் தெரியும். ஆழ்ந்த பசியோடும் தாகத்தோடும், பசியின் உணர்வைத் தாங்க முடியாமல் அவை சத்தமாய்க் கதறுகின்றன. அதேபோல, நாமும் அதே தாகத்தோடும் ஏக்கத்தோடும் தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையைப் படிக்கவும் தியானிக்கவும் வேண்டுமென்று தேவன் எதிர்பார்க்கிறார்.

தேவனுடைய வார்த்தை தூய பால் போன்றது, அதில் கலப்படம் இல்லை, அது சத்தியத்தால் நிறைந்தது. இது உலகத்தின் கருத்துக்களால் கலக்கப்படவில்லை. ஒரு தாயின் பால் எப்படி அவளது ஜீவன் குழந்தைக்குள் பாய்ந்து, ஊட்டச்சத்தையும், பலத்தையும், வளர்ச்சியையும் கொடுக்கிறதோ, அப்படியே தேவனுடைய வார்த்தை நமக்கு ஆவிக்குரிய ஜீவனைக் கொடுத்து, நம்மைப் பலப்படுத்தி, விசுவாசப் பாதையில் நம்மைத் தாங்குகிறது.

அவருடைய வார்த்தையின் மூலம், நாம் விசுவாசம், ஞானம், பரிசுத்தம் ஆகியவற்றில் வளருவது மட்டுமல்லாமல், நம் வாழ்க்கையை வடிவமைக்கும் மாற்றத்தின் வல்லமையையும் நாம் அனுபவிக்கிறோம். நம்முடைய சரீர மற்றும் ஆவிக்குரிய வளர்ச்சிக்கு ஜெபமும் தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையும் அத்தியாவசியமானவை. நாம் அவருடைய வார்த்தையை இரவும் பகலும் வாசித்து தியானிக்கும்போது, அது நம்முடைய ஆத்துமாக்களைப் போஷித்து, கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் நம்முடைய வாழ்க்கையைப் பலப்படுத்துகிறது.

சிந்திக்க: ஊட்டச்சத்தைத் தேடும் ஒரு குழந்தையைப் போல, அதே ஆழமான பசியோடும் வாஞ்சையோடும் நான் தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையை நாடி, அது ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் என் வாழ்க்கையை நிரப்பவும், பலப்படுத்தவும், வடிவமைக்கவும் அனுமதிக்கிறேனா?
