Blog Y3 748 - "Chosen Beyond Appearance"

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting. Micah 5:2.

God foretold long before where the Messiah would be born. This is a prophecy fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Bethlehem was considered one of the smallest and most insignificant places at that time, yet God’s eyes fell upon that humble town. It was in that very place that Jesus, the Savior of the world, was born.

In the same way, we may sometimes feel rejected, overlooked, or unnoticed. But God’s eyes are on us. He has chosen us to be His children, and He has placed His light within us. The world is full of people who are talented, brilliant, and outwardly impressive, yet the Lord does not choose us because we are the best. In fact, He often chooses those who seem least likely, the ones who might be forgotten by others. His nature is to take the unworthy and make them worthy, to lift up the humble and use them for His glory.

God already has a blueprint for our lives. Every detail is known to Him, and He will use us in ways that bring honor to His name. Just as He chose Bethlehem, small and overlooked, to be the birthplace of the King, He chooses us, ordinary, imperfect people, to carry His extraordinary purpose. 

Reflection: Am I believing that God sees value and purpose in my life, even when I feel unnoticed, trusting that He can use me powerfully to fulfill His divine plan and bring honor to His name?

எப்பிராத்தா என்னப்பட்ட பெத்லகேமே, நீ யூதேயாவிலுள்ள ஆயிரங்களுக்குள்ளே சிறியதாயிருந்தும், இஸ்ரவேலை ஆளப்போகிறவர் உன்னிடத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு என்னிடத்தில் வருவார்; அவருடைய புறப்படுதல் அநாதி நாட்களாகிய பூர்வத்தினுடையது. மீகா 5:2.

மேசியா எங்கே பிறப்பார் என்பதை தேவன் நீண்ட காலத்திற்கு முன்பே முன்னறிவித்தார். இது இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவில் நிறைவேறிய ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசனம். பெத்லகேம் அந்த நேரத்தில் மிகச் சிறியதாகவும், முக்கியமற்ற இடமாகவும் கருதப்பட்டது, ஆனாலும் தேவனுடைய கண்கள் அந்த தாழ்மையான நகரத்தின் மீது விழுந்தது. அந்த இடத்தில்தான் உலகின் இரட்சகர், இயேசு பிறந்தார்.

அதேபோல, நாமும் சில சமயங்களில் நிராகரிக்கப்பட்டவர்களாக, கவனிக்கப்படாதவர்களாக, அல்லது கண்டுகொள்ளப்படாதவர்களாக உணரலாம். ஆனாலும், தேவனுடைய கண்கள் நம் மீது இருக்கிறது. நாம் அவருடைய பிள்ளைகளாக இருக்க அவர் நம்மைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்துள்ளார், மேலும் அவர் தம்முடைய ஒளியை நமக்குள் வைத்திருக்கிறார். உலகம் திறமையான, புத்திசாலித்தனமான மற்றும் வெளிப்படையாக கவர்ச்சியான மக்களால் நிறைந்துள்ளது, ஆனால் நாம் சிறந்தவர்கள் என்பதால் கர்த்தர் நம்மைத் தேர்ந்தெடுப்பதில்லை. உண்மையில், அவர் பெரும்பாலும் மற்றவர்களால் மறக்கப்பட்ட, வாய்ப்பு குறைவாகத் தோன்றுபவர்களைத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கிறார். தகுதியற்றவர்களைத் தகுதியுள்ளவர்களாக மாற்றுவதும், தாழ்மையுள்ளவர்களை உயர்த்தி, தம்முடைய மகிமைக்காக அவர்களைப் பயன்படுத்துவதும் அவருடைய சுபாவம்.

தேவனிடத்தில் நம் வாழ்க்கைக்குரிய வரைபடம் ஏற்கனவே உள்ளது. ஒவ்வொரு விவரமும் அவருக்குத் தெரியும், மேலும் அவருடைய நாமத்திற்கு மகிமையைக் கொண்டுவரும் வழிகளில் அவர் நம்மைப் பயன்படுத்துவார். சிறியதாகவும், கவனிக்கப்படாததாகவும் இருந்த பெத்லகேமை ராஜாவின் பிறப்பிடமாக அவர் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தது போல, சாதாரணமாக, குறையுள்ளவர்களாகிய நம்மையும் தம்முடைய அசாதாரண நோக்கத்தைச் சுமந்து செல்ல அவர் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கிறார்.

சிந்திக்க: நான் கவனிக்கப்படாதவனாக உணரும்போதும்கூட, தேவன் என் வாழ்க்கையில் மதிப்பையும் நோக்கத்தையும் காண்கிறார் என்று நான் நம்பி, அவருடைய தெய்வீகத் திட்டத்தை நிறைவேற்றவும், அவருடைய நாமத்திற்குக் கனத்தைக் கொண்டுவரவும் என்னை  சக்திவாய்ந்த முறையில் பயன்படுத்த முடியும் என்று நம்புகிறேனா?
