Blog Y3 749 - "Living Under New Promise"

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. John 1:17.

We belong to the New Covenant. Under the Old Covenant, God gave the Law through Moses, nearly 613 commandments that the people were required to follow. The Law revealed God’s holiness and showed humanity what righteousness looks like. Yet no one was able to fully keep the Law.

In those days, when people failed to obey the Law, they had to offer sacrifices repeatedly for their sins. These sacrifices were only temporary and could not entirely remove sin.

Out of His great love and mercy, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, not to abolish the Law, but to fulfill it. Jesus became the perfect and living sacrifice, offered once and for all on our behalf. Through Him, we receive what we could never earn or deserve, the grace and truth of God.

Grace is God’s unmerited favor, freely given to us. Truth is revealed through Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the life. Together, grace and truth bring salvation, freedom, and new life to all who believe.

This is the priceless gift of Christmas. As we celebrate this season, let us remember the incredible grace and truth that came through our Lord Jesus Christ. Let our hearts be filled with gratitude, worship, and joy as we celebrate Jesus, the Savior of the world. 

Reflection: Am I fully trusting what Christ has accomplished for me, resting in His finished work rather than my efforts, and allowing my heart to respond with gratitude, worship, and joyful obedience each day?

எப்படியெனில் நியாயப்பிரமாணம் மோசேயின் மூலமாய்க் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது, கிருபையும் சத்தியமும் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் மூலமாய் உண்டாயின. யோவான் 1:17.

நாம் புதிய உடன்படிக்கைக்குச் சொந்தமானவர்கள். பழைய உடன்படிக்கையின் கீழ், மோசே மூலம் நியாயப்பிரமாணம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது. அதில் மக்கள் பின்பற்ற வேண்டிய ஏறக்குறைய 613 கட்டளைகள் இருந்தன. நியாயப்பிரமாணம் தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தியது, மற்றும் நீதி என்றால் என்ன என்பதை மனிதகுலத்திற்குக் காட்டியது. ஆனாலும், யாராலும் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தை முழுமையாகக் கடைப்பிடிக்க முடியவில்லை.

அந்த நாட்களில், மக்கள் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படியத் தவறியபோது, தங்கள் பாவங்களுக்காகத் திரும்பத் திரும்ப பலிகளைச் செலுத்த வேண்டியிருந்தது. இந்தப் பலிகள் தற்காலிகமானவை மட்டுமே, மேலும் பாவத்தை முழுமையாக நீக்க முடியவில்லை.

தம்முடைய மிகுந்த அன்பினாலும் இரக்கத்தினாலும், தேவன் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தை நீக்குவதற்காகவல்ல, அதை நிறைவேற்றுவதற்காகவே தம்முடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவை அனுப்பினார். இயேசு நமக்காக ஒருமுறை மற்றும் என்றென்றைக்குமாகச் செலுத்தப்பட்ட பரிபூரணமும் ஜீவனுமான பலியானார். அவர் மூலமாக, நாம் ஒருபோதும் சம்பாதிக்க முடியாத அல்லது தகுதியற்ற தேவனுடைய கிருபையையும் சத்தியத்தையும் பெறுகிறோம்.

கிருபை என்பது, நாம் தகுதியற்றவர்களாயிருந்தும், நமக்கு இலவசமாகக் கொடுக்கப்பட்ட தயவு. சத்தியம் இயேசுவின் மூலம் வெளிப்படுத்தப்படுகிறது; அவரே வழியும், சத்தியமும், ஜீவனுமாய் இருக்கிறார். கிருபையும் சத்தியமும் ஒன்றாகச் சேர்ந்து, விசுவாசிக்கிற அனைவருக்கும் இரட்சிப்பையும், விடுதலையையும், புதிய வாழ்வையும் அளிக்கின்றன.

இதுவே கிறிஸ்துமஸின் விலைமதிப்பற்ற பரிசு. நாம் இந்தப் பண்டிகையைக் கொண்டாடும்போது, நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் மூலம் வந்த அசாத்தியமான கிருபையையும் சத்தியத்தையும் நினைவு கூருவோம். உலகின் இரட்சகரான இயேசுவைக் கொண்டாடும்போது நம் இருதயங்கள் நன்றியுணர்வாலும், ஆராதனையாலும், சந்தோஷத்தினாலும் நிரப்பப்படட்டும்.

சிந்திக்க: கிறிஸ்து எனக்காகச் செய்து முடித்ததில் நான் முழுமையாக நம்பிக்கை வைத்து, என்னுடைய முயற்சிகளை நம்பாமல் அவரால் முடிக்கப்பட்ட கிரியையில் நான் நிலைத்திருந்து,  ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் நன்றியுணர்வுடனும், ஆராதனையுடனும், மகிழ்ச்சியுடன்  கீழ்ப்படிந்து, என் இருதயம் அவருக்குப் பதிலளிக்க அனுமதிக்கிறேனா?
