“With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; But with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,” says the Lord, your Redeemer. Isaiah 54:8.
When we read this verse, another scripture comes to our mind:
“For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night,
But joy comes in the morning.” Psalm 30:5.
Our God is full of love and compassion, yet He is also a righteous and holy God. He is slow to anger and very patient, waiting for our repentance. Just as an earthly father lovingly corrects his children, our Heavenly Father also corrects us, not to reject us, but because He loves us and does not want to give up on us.
When we slip from the path on which our Father is leading us, it grieves His heart. For a moment, He may hide His face, but it is only for a moment. His everlasting kindness, unfailing love, and great mercy will pursue us and bring us back to the right path. His love never fails, and His compassion never ends.
He who began a good work in us is faithful to complete it. Therefore, our love toward Him should be wholehearted, passionate, and full of holy zeal.
Reflection: Am I responding to loving correction with repentance and renewed devotion, trusting that brief discipline leads me back into enduring kindness and faithful completion of His work in me?
அற்பகாலம் மூண்ட கோபத்தினால் என் முகத்தை இமைப்பொழுது உனக்கு மறைத்தேன்; ஆனாலும் நித்திய கிருபையுடன் உனக்கு இரங்குவேன் என்று கர்த்தராகிய உன் மீட்பர் சொல்லுகிறார். ஏசாயா 54:8.
இந்த வசனத்தை நாம் வாசிக்கும்போது, மற்றொரு வேதவசனம் நம் நினைவுக்கு வருகிறது: சங்கீதம் 30:5 -ல் "அவருடைய கோபம் ஒரு நிமிஷம், அவருடைய தயவோ நீடிய வாழ்வு; சாயங்காலத்தில் அழுகை தங்கும், விடியற்காலத்திலே களிப்புண்டாகும்."
நம்முடைய தேவன் அன்பும் உருக்கமும் நிறைந்தவர், அதே சமயம் அவர் நீதியுள்ளவரும் பரிசுத்தமானவருமாய் இருக்கிறார். அவர் கோபிக்கத் தாமதிக்கிறவர், நாம் மனந்திரும்புவதற்காக மிகுந்த பொறுமையுடன் காத்திருப்பவர். ஒரு பூலோகத் தந்தை தன் பிள்ளைகளை அன்போடு கண்டிப்பது போல, நம்முடைய பரலோகத் தந்தையும் நம்மைத் திருத்துகிறார்; அது நம்மைத் தள்ளிவிடுவதற்காக அல்ல, அவர் நம்மேல் வைத்திருக்கும் அன்பினிமித்தமும் நம்மை விட்டுவிடக் கூடாது என்பதற்காகவுமே ஆகும்.
தந்தை நம்மை வழிநடத்தும் பாதையிலிருந்து நாம் வழுவிச் செல்லும்போது, அது அவருடைய இருதயத்தைத் துக்கப்படுத்துகிறது. ஒரு கணப்பொழுது அவர் தமது முகத்தை மறைக்கலாம், ஆனால் அது ஒரு நிமிடம் மட்டுமே. அவருடைய நித்திய கிருபையும், மாறாத அன்பும், மகா இரக்கமும் நம்மைத் தொடர்ந்து வந்து, மீண்டும் நம்மைச் சரியான பாதையில் கொண்டு வரும். அவருடைய அன்பு ஒருபோதும் தோல்வியடையாது, அவருடைய மன உருக்கம் முடிந்து போவதில்லை.
நம்மில் நற்கிரியையைத் தொடங்கினவர் அதை முடிவுபரியந்தம் நடத்தி முடிக்க உண்மையுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார். எனவே, அவர் மீதான நமது அன்பு முழு இருதயத்தோடும், ஆர்வத்தோடும், பரிசுத்த வைராக்கியத்தோடும் இருக்க வேண்டும்.
சிந்திக்க: தேவனுடைய ஒவ்வொரு சிறு ஒழுங்குபடுத்துதலும், என்னை மீண்டும் அவருடைய நித்திய கிருபைக்கும், அவர் என்னில் தொடங்கிய கிரியையை உண்மையுடன் நிறைவேற்றுவதற்கும் வழிநடத்தும் என்று நான் நம்பி, தேவன் தரும் அன்பான திருத்தங்களுக்கு நான் மனந்திரும்புதலோடும், புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்ட அர்ப்பணிப்போடும் பதிலளிக்கிறேனா?
Like a father corrects a child ,our heavenly fathers corrects us .Thank you lord for pursuing us with grace and giving us salvation .
ReplyDeleteYou complete the work you began in us like you corrected Saul and spoke to him in vision about Anaiah coming to give him sight and simultaneously you spoke to annaias to heal Saul ,thus by converting him to Paul,a new name given to him .Paul who went on to proclaim the real God to different. Parts of the world !
Likewise,you were with Jacob in the process when he betrayed his brother ,yet you in turn blessed him lord because he fought with Angel seeking your blessing and you still blessed him with a new name Israel!
