Blog Y3 783 - "Entrusting Tomorrow to God"

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, ‘Oh, that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!’ So God granted him what he requested. 1 Chronicles 4:10.

Jabez’s difficult birth, which caused great pain to his mother, but he became more precious in God’s eyes. God heard his prayer because he fully surrendered himself to the Lord’s mighty hands. Jabez understood that if he placed everything in God’s care, God’s hand would surely be with him. And when God’s hand is with someone, they experience both expansion and protection.

This is the same prayer we can offer today. God is faithful to hear us as He heard Jabez. We may not know everything about our future, but our Lord knows all things. So let us pray as Jabez prayed, asking God to enlarge our spiritual and physical territory, even for the generations that come after us. Let us ask for His hand to be upon us, so that nothing can harm us. He will not allow evil to touch us. He will expand our borders and surround us like a wall of fire to protect us.

Reflection: Am I placing my future fully into God’s hands, trusting Him to extend my influence, guard my path, and bless even those who will come after me?

யாபேசின் பிறப்பு மிகவும் கடினமாக இருந்தது, அது அவன் தாய்க்கு மிகுந்த வேதனையை உண்டாக்கியது; ஆனால் தேவனுடைய பார்வையில் அவன் விலையேறப்பெற்றவனாய் இருந்தான். அவன் தன்னை முழுமையாகக் கர்த்தருடைய வல்லமையுள்ள கரங்களில் ஒப்படைத்ததால், தேவன் அவன் ஜெபத்தைக் கேட்டார். எல்லாவற்றையும் தேவனுடைய பராமரிப்பில் ஒப்படைத்தால், அவருடைய கரம் நிச்சயமாகத் தம்மோடு இருக்கும் என்பதை யாபேஸ் புரிந்துகொண்டிருந்தார். தேவனுடைய கரம் ஒருவரோடு இருக்கும்போது, அவர் வளர்ச்சியையும் (Expansion) பாதுகாப்பையும் (Protection) ஒருசேர அனுபவிக்கிறார்.

இதே ஜெபத்தை இன்று நாமும் ஏறெடுக்கலாம். யாபேசின் ஜெபத்தைக் கேட்ட தேவன், நம் ஜெபத்தைக் கேட்கவும் உண்மையுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார். நம்முடைய எதிர்காலத்தைப் பற்றி நமக்கு முழுமையாகத் தெரியாமல் இருக்கலாம், ஆனால் நம் ஆண்டவர் எல்லாவற்றையும் அறிந்தவர். எனவே, யாபேஸைப் போலவே நாமும் ஜெபிப்போம். நமக்காகவும், நமக்கு பின்வரும் தலைமுறைகளுக்காகவும் நமது ஆவிக்குரிய மற்றும் சரீரப் பிரகாரமான எல்லைகளை விரிவுபடுத்தும்படி தேவனிடம் கேட்போம். அவருடைய கரம் நம்மேல் இருக்கும்படி வேண்டுவோம், அப்போது எதுவும் நம்மைத் தீங்கு செய்ய முடியாது. தீமை நம்மைத் தொட அவர் அனுமதிக்க மாட்டார். அவர் நம் எல்லைகளை விரிவாக்கி, நம்மைப் பாதுகாக்க நம்மைச் சுற்றிலும் அக்கினி மதிலாக இருப்பார்.

சிந்திக்க: தேவன் என் செல்வாக்கைப் பெருக்கி, என் பாதையைப் பாதுகாத்து, எனக்குப் பின்வரும் சந்ததியினரையும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார் என்று நான் அவரை நம்பி, என் எதிர்காலத்தை முழுமையாகத் தேவனுடைய கரங்களில் ஒப்படைக்கிறேனா?
