Blog Y3 797 - "Compassion That Shines"

If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday. Isaiah 58:10.

What a beautiful promise our God gives us!

We are living in a dark world. It often feels as though the world is losing its beauty and compassion. Yet, in the midst of this darkness, God promises that our light will shine. He assures us that our darkness will become as bright as the noonday.

But this promise is not without purpose. There is a condition we must not overlook.

These blessings unfold when we extend our souls to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted. Whenever we sit down to eat, we should remember those who have nothing to eat. As we place food in our mouths, our hearts should be filled with compassion for those who are hungry.

This compassion must come from deep within our hearts. That is why we must ask God to make us more like Jesus Christ.

In the Gospels, we read that our Lord Jesus was moved with compassion for the hungry, and He fed them with loaves and fishes. His heart was tender toward the needy and the afflicted. Likewise, our hearts should be moved with compassion toward those who suffer and those whose souls are burdened.

When we live with such compassion, not just in words but in action, then this promise will surely be fulfilled in our lives. Our light will rise in the darkness, and even our darkest moments will shine like the brightness of noon.

May the Lord shape our hearts to reflect His own compassionate heart.

Reflection: Are we showing tangible care to those in need and reflecting Christlike mercy, so our lives radiate hope even amid a broken and hurting world?

பசியுள்ளவனிடத்தில் உன் ஆத்துமாவைச் சாய்த்து, சிறுமைப்பட்ட ஆத்துமாவைத் திருப்தியாக்கினால், அப்பொழுது இருளில் உன் வெளிச்சம் உதித்து, உன் அந்தகாரம் மத்தியானத்தைப்போலாகும். ஏசாயா 58:10.

நம் தேவன் நமக்கு எவ்வளவு அழகான வாக்குறுதியை அளிக்கிறார்!

நாம் ஒரு இருண்ட உலகில் வாழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறோம். பெரும்பாலும் இவ்வுலகம் தன் அழகையும் இரக்கத்தையும் இழந்து வருவது போன்ற உணர்வைத் தருகிறது. இருப்பினும், இந்த இருளின் மத்தியிலும், நம்முடைய ஒளி பிரகாசிக்கும் என்று தேவன் வாக்குறுதி அளிக்கிறார். நம்முடைய இருள் நண்பகலைப் போலப் பிரகாசமாகும் என்று அவர் நமக்கு உறுதி அளிக்கிறார்.

ஆனால் இந்த வாக்குறுதி ஒரு குறிக்கோளற்றது அல்ல. நாம் கவனிக்கத் தவறக்கூடாத ஒரு நிபந்தனை இதில் உள்ளது.

பசியுள்ளவர்களுக்கு நம் ஆத்துமாவைச் சாய்த்து, துன்பப்படுபவர்களைத் திருப்திப்படுத்தும்போதே இந்த ஆசீர்வாதங்கள் வெளிப்படுகின்றன. நாம் உணவு உண்ண அமரும்போதெல்லாம், உண்பதற்கு எதுவுமில்லாதவர்களை நாம் நினைவுகூர வேண்டும். நாம் உணவை உட்கொள்ளும்போது, பசியுள்ளவர்கள் மீதான இரக்கத்தினால் நம் இதயங்கள் நிறைய வேண்டும்.

இந்த இரக்கம் நம் இதயத்தின் ஆழத்திலிருந்து வர வேண்டும். அதனால்தான், நம்மை இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவைப் போல மாற்றும்படி நாம் தேவனிடம் கேட்க வேண்டும்.

நற்செய்தி நூல்களில், நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு பசியுள்ளவர்கள் மீது மனதுருகி, அவர்களுக்கு அப்பங்களையும் மீன்களையும் கொடுத்து உணவளித்ததாக நாம் வாசிக்கிறோம். தேவையுள்ளவர்கள் மற்றும் சிறுமைப்பட்டவர்கள் மீது அவருடைய இதயம் கனிவுள்ளதாய் இருந்தது. அதேபோல், துன்பப்படுபவர்கள் மற்றும் ஆத்துமா பாரமடைந்தவர்கள் மீது நம் இதயங்களும் இரக்கத்தினால் தூண்டப்பட வேண்டும்.

இத்தகைய இரக்கத்தை வெறும் வார்த்தைகளில் மட்டுமல்லாமல், செயலில் காட்டும்போது, இந்த வாக்குறுதி நிச்சயமாக நம் வாழ்வில் நிறைவேறும். இருளில் நம் வெளிச்சம் உதிக்கும், நம்முடைய இருண்ட தருணங்களும் நண்பகலின் பிரகாசத்தைப் போல ஒளிரும்.

தேவனுடைய இரக்கமுள்ள இதயத்தை பிரதிபலிக்கும் வகையில் கர்த்தர் நம் இதயங்களை உருவாக்குவாராக.

சிந்தனை: உடைந்த மற்றும் காயப்பட்ட இந்த உலகிற்கு இடையில் நம் வாழ்வு நம்பிக்கையை வெளிப்படுத்தும் விதமாக, தேவையுள்ளவர்களுக்கு உண்மையான அக்கரையையும் கிறிஸ்துவைப் போன்ற இரக்கத்தையும் நாம் காட்டுகிறோமா?
