Blog Y3 810 - "Faith that Quietly Moves"

So Jesus said to them, ‘Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.’ Matthew 17:20.

So many of our prayers seem unanswered because of our unbelief. We ask, we wait, and sometimes we quietly wonder whether heaven has heard. Yet Jesus directs attention not to the size of the request but to the faith in the heart. Faith as small as a mustard seed is not about quantity but authenticity. Mountains in Scripture often symbolize immovable obstacles; Christ assures us that even genuine, small faith connects us to divine strength capable of shifting mountains.

Our Heavenly Father will never do anything that harms His children, even when His response differs from our expectations. What we interpret as delay may be protection; what feels like denial may be redirection. Faith grows when we trust not only God’s ability to move mountains but also His wisdom in deciding which mountains should remain for our shaping.

Even the disciples could not perform miracles at one point because of their unbelief. Jesus rebuked them for their lack of faith. Their struggle mirrors ours: proximity to spiritual truth does not replace personal trust. Christ’s gentle correction invites us to examine where hesitation or self-reliance may be limiting what God desires to do through us. 

Let us show simple faith from the depths of our hearts. Let us trust Him fully, without fear. And let us receive His promises and miracles in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Reflection: Am I allowing my small trust to rise within me, and am I believing that God can shift what feels unmovable even when my heart hesitates?

நமது அவிசுவாசத்தின் காரணமாகவே நமது பல ஜெபங்கள் பதிலளிக்கப்படாமல் போவது போலத் தோன்றுகிறது. நாம் கேட்கிறோம், காத்திருக்கிறோம், சில சமயங்களில் பரலோகம் நம் குரலைக் கேட்டதா என்று மௌனமாக ஆச்சரியப்படுகிறோம். ஆனால், இயேசு நம் கோரிக்கையின் அளவை அல்ல, நம் இருதயத்தில் உள்ள விசுவாசத்தையே நோக்குகிறார். கடுகளவு விசுவாசம் என்பது அளவைப் பற்றியது அல்ல, அது உண்மையான தன்மையைப் பற்றியது. வேதத்தில் 'மலைகள்' என்பது பெரும்பாலும் அசைக்க முடியாத தடைகளைக் குறிக்கின்றன; உண்மையான சிறு விசுவாசமும் கூட, மலைகளை நகர்த்தும் வல்லமையுள்ள தெய்விகப் பலத்தோடு நம்மை இணைக்கிறது என்று கிறிஸ்து நமக்கு உறுதியளிக்கிறார்.

நமது பரம பிதா, அவருடைய பதில் நமது எதிர்பார்ப்புகளிலிருந்து மாறுபட்டாலும், தம் பிள்ளைகளுக்குத் தீங்கு விளைவிக்கும் எதையும் ஒருபோதும் செய்யமாட்டார். நாம் 'தாமதம்' என்று கருதுவது ஒருவேளை பாதுகாப்பாக இருக்கலாம்; 'மறுப்பு' என்று நாம் உணருவது ஒருவேளை திசைமாற்றமாக இருக்கலாம். மலைகளை நகர்த்தும் தேவனுடைய வல்லமையை மாத்திரமல்ல, நம்மைப் பக்குவப்படுத்துவதற்காக எந்த மலைகள் அங்கேயே இருக்க வேண்டும் என்று தீர்மானிக்கும் அவருடைய ஞானத்தையும் நாம் நம்பும்போதுதான் விசுவாசம் வளர்கிறது.

சீஷர்கள்கூட ஒரு கட்டத்தில் தங்கள் அவிசுவாசத்தினால் அற்புதங்களைச் செய்ய முடியாமல் போனார்கள். அவர்களுடைய விசுவாசக் குறைவிற்காக இயேசு அவர்களைக் கடிந்துகொண்டார். அவர்களுடைய போராட்டம் நமக்கும் ஒரு பாடம்: ஆன்மீக சத்தியங்களுக்கு அருகில் இருப்பது மட்டுமே தனிப்பட்ட விசுவாசத்திற்கு ஈடாகாது. தயக்கம் அல்லது சுயபலம் எங்கே தேவனுடைய கிரியைகளைத் தடுக்கிறது என்பதை ஆராய கிறிஸ்துவின் இந்த மென்மையான திருத்துதல் நம்மை அழைக்கிறது.

நம் இருதயத்தின் ஆழத்திலிருந்து எளிய விசுவாசத்தைக் காட்டுவோம். பயமின்றி அவரை முழுமையாக நம்புவோம். இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் வல்லமையுள்ள நாமத்தினால் அவருடைய வாக்குத்தத்தங்களையும் அற்புதங்களையும் பெற்றுக்கொள்வோம்.

சிந்திக்க: என் உள்ளத்தில் இருக்கும் சிறிய விசுவாசத்தை நான் வளரவிட்டு, என் இருதயம் தயங்கினாலும், அசைக்க முடியாததாகத் தோன்றுவதை தேவன் மாற்ற முடியும் என்று நான் நம்புகிறேனா?
