Blog Y3 814 - "Fear God, because He loves you"

The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe. Proverbs 29:25.

The fear of man is usually not from God. Such fear leads our thoughts into distraction and becomes a dangerous trap. When we fear people, we begin to focus on pleasing the world rather than pleasing our God.

People come and go; they are not constant, nor do they live forever. Yet we often let our minds be troubled by thoughts of what others may think of us.

But the fear of God is very different. It is like the loving reverence a child has for a father. This fear is not born out of terror, but out of love and respect. Even when the father is not physically present, the child desires to do what is right because of love for him.

In the same way, we should fear our God, our loving Heavenly Father. Not because He punishes us, but because He loves us beyond measure. When we truly fear God, it leads us to trust Him completely.

And those who trust in the Lord will be kept safe. Such a life is pleasing to Him, and He faithfully protects and guides those who place their trust in Him.

Reflection: Am I letting the Lord’s steady presence quiet my fear of people, and choose to rest in the safety that comes from trusting Him above every voice around me?

மனுஷனுக்குப் பயப்படும் பயம் கண்ணியை வருவிக்கும்; கர்த்தரை நம்புகிறவனோ உயர்ந்த அடைக்கலத்திலே வைக்கப்படுவான். 29:25.

மனுஷனுக்குப் பயப்படும் பயம் பொதுவாக தேவனிடமிருந்து வருவதில்லை. அத்தகைய பயம் நம் எண்ணங்களைச் சிதறடித்து, ஒரு ஆபத்தான கண்ணியாக (வலையாக) மாறுகிறது. நாம் மனிதர்களுக்குப் பயப்படும்போது, நம்முடைய தேவனைப் பிரியப்படுத்துவதை விட இவ்வுலகத்தைப் பிரியப்படுத்துவதிலேயே அதிக கவனம் செலுத்தத் தொடங்குகிறோம்.

மனிதர்கள் வருகிறார்கள், போகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் நிலையானவர்கள் அல்ல, அவர்கள் என்றென்றும் வாழ்வதும் இல்லை. ஆனாலும், மற்றவர்கள் நம்மைப் பற்றி என்ன நினைப்பார்கள் என்ற எண்ணத்தினால் நாம் அடிக்கடி நம் மனதைக் கலங்கச் செய்கிறோம்.

ஆனால் தெய்வ பயம் என்பது முற்றிலும் வித்தியாசமானது. இது ஒரு குழந்தை தன் தந்தை மீது வைத்திருக்கும் அன்பான மரியாதையைப் போன்றது. இந்தப் பயம் நடுக்கத்தினால் உருவானது அல்ல, மாறாக அன்பினாலும் மரியாதையினாலும் உருவானது. தந்தை நேரில் இல்லாதபோதும், அவர் மேல் உள்ள அன்பினால் சரியானதைச் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று அந்தப் பிள்ளை விரும்புகிறது.

அதேபோல், நம்முடைய அன்புள்ள பரம பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்கு நாம் பயப்பட வேண்டும். அவர் நம்மைத் தண்டிப்பார் என்பதற்காக அல்ல, அவர் நம்மை அளவற்ற முறையில் நேசிப்பதினால் நாம் அவருக்குப் பயப்பட வேண்டும். நாம் உண்மையாகவே தேவனுக்குப் பயப்படும்போது, அது அவரை முழுமையாக நம்புவதற்கு நம்மை வழிநடத்துகிறது.

கர்த்தரை நம்புகிறவர்கள் பாதுகாப்பாக வைக்கப்படுவார்கள். அத்தகைய வாழ்க்கை அவருக்குப் பிரியமானது; தம்மை நம்புகிறவர்களை அவர் உண்மையுடன் பாதுகாத்து வழிநடத்துகிறார்.

சிந்திக்க: கர்த்தருடைய நிலையான பிரசன்னம் மனிதர்களுக்குப் பயப்படும் என் பயத்தை அகற்ற அனுமதித்து, என்னைச் சுற்றியுள்ள ஒவ்வொரு குரலையும் விட, அவரை நம்புவதால் வரும் பாதுகாப்பில் சார்ந்திருக்க நான் முன்வருகிறேனா?
