Blog Y3 821 - "Drawn to the Cross"

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18.

This world, whose eyes are blinded by Satan, does not recognize the power of the Cross or the meaning of the death of Christ. To them, it seems foolish to speak about or boast in the Cross.

But the Cross, where our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified, is filled with the power of God. The precious blood that Jesus shed on the Cross is the only way by which our sins are cleansed. Jesus Christ alone is the way to enter the Heavenly Kingdom.

The Cross is our strength and our redemption. Through Christ, who was crucified for our sins, we receive forgiveness and new life. Through the Cross, we receive not only salvation but also the blessings of restoration, healing, and God’s grace in our lives.

Yet to those who are perishing, whose spiritual eyes are blinded, the truth about the Cross appears foolish. How thankful we must be to God that He has opened our eyes and revealed to us this ultimate truth, the power of the Cross of Jesus Christ.

Let us continue to pray for those who do not yet know this truth, that God may open their spiritual eyes so they may see the real blessings that flow from the Cross: salvation, restoration, healing, and eternal life.

Reflection: Am I standing firm in the strength of the Cross, refusing to drift toward lesser things and choosing to live boldly in the truth revealed to me?

சிலுவையைப்பற்றிய உபதேசம் கெட்டுப்போகிறவர்களுக்குப் பைத்தியமாயிருக்கிறது, இரட்சிக்கப்படுகிற நமக்கோ அது தேவபெலனாயிருக்கிறது. 1 கொரிந்தியர் 1:18.

சாத்தானால் கண்கள் குருடாக்கப்பட்ட இந்த உலகம், சிலுவையின் வல்லமையையோ அல்லது கிறிஸ்துவின் மரணத்தின் அர்த்தத்தையோ அறிந்துகொள்வதில்லை. சிலுவையைக்குறித்துப் பேசுவதோ அல்லது அதைக்குறித்து மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிறதோ அவர்களுக்குப் பைத்தியமாகத் தோன்றுகிறது.

ஆனால், நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து அறையப்பட்ட அந்தச் சிலுவை, தேவனுடைய வல்லமையால் நிறைந்துள்ளது. இயேசு சிலுவையில் சிந்திய விலையேறப்பெற்ற இரத்தமே நம்முடைய பாவங்களைக் கழுவிச் சுத்திகரிப்பதற்கான ஒரே வழியாகும். பரலோக ராஜ்யத்திற்குள் பிரவேசிப்பதற்கு இயேசு கிறிஸ்து ஒருவரே வழியாக இருக்கிறார்.

சிலுவையே நம்முடைய பெலனும் நம்முடைய மீட்புமாக இருக்கிறது. நம்முடைய பாவங்களுக்காகச் சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்ட கிறிஸ்துவின் மூலமாக, நாம் மன்னிப்பையும் புது வாழ்வையும் பெறுகிறோம். சிலுவையின் மூலமாக, நாம் இரட்சிப்பை மட்டுமல்ல, சீர்ப்பொருந்துதல், சுகம் மற்றும் நம் வாழ்வில் தேவனுடைய கிருபை ஆகிய ஆசீர்வாதங்களையும் பெறுகிறோம்.

ஆனாலும், ஆவிக்குரிய கண்கள் குருடாக்கப்பட்டு கெட்டுப்போகிறவர்களுக்கு, சிலுவையைப்பற்றிய சத்தியம் பைத்தியமாகத் தோன்றுகிறது. இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் சிலுவையின் வல்லமை என்கிற இந்த மேலான சத்தியத்தை, தேவன் நம்முடைய கண்களைத் திறந்து நமக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தியதற்காக நாம் அவருக்கு எவ்வளவு நன்றியுள்ளவர்களாக இருக்க வேண்டும்!

இந்தச் சத்தியத்தை இன்னும் அறியாதவர்களுக்காக நாம் தொடர்ந்து ஜெபிப்போம். சிலுவையிலிருந்து பாய்ந்துவரும் உண்மையான ஆசீர்வாதங்களான இரட்சிப்பு, சீர்ப்பொருந்துதல், சுகம் மற்றும் நித்திய ஜீவன் ஆகியவற்றை அவர்கள் காணும்படி, தேவன் அவர்களுடைய ஆவிக்குரிய கண்களைத் திறப்பாராக.

சிந்திக்க: அற்பமான மதிப்புடையவற்றை  நோக்கி விலகிச் செல்வதைத் தவிர்த்து, எனக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்ட சத்தியத்தில் தைரியமாக வாழத் தீர்மானித்து, நான் சிலுவையின் பெலனில் உறுதியாக நிற்கிறேனா?
