As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. Psalms 125:2.
When we look at the geographical structure of Jerusalem, we see that the city is surrounded by mountains. God allowed it to be formed this way as a natural protection for the city. At the same time, throughout history, Jerusalem has been surrounded by enemies. Yet God’s perfect protection has always been there. The mountains stand like a natural fortress, providing security and defense. In the same way, the Lord surrounds His people.
However, the condition for this promise is mentioned in verse 1. We must place our full trust in the Lord. When we trust in Him completely, we will not be shaken or moved. When we stand on His truth and grace, our hearts become firm and unshakable. Then the Lord Himself surrounds us and protects us, spiritually, physically, and in every way.
As the Word of God says, “If God is for us, who can be against us?”
As God’s children, the enemy may try to attack us, but our God stands as a strong fortress and a shield around us. He defends His people with His mighty power. Therefore, no evil can truly harm us when we remain under His covering and protection.
Reflection: How can I learn to rest in the quiet assurance of God’s presence, trusting that He surrounds me even when life feels uncertain or heavy?
பர்வதங்கள் எருசலேமைச் சுற்றிலும் இருக்குமாப்போல், கர்த்தர் இதுமுதல் என்றென்றைக்கும் தம்முடைய ஜனத்தைச் சுற்றிலும் இருக்கிறார். சங்கீதம் 125:2.

"தேவன் நம்முடைய பட்சத்திலிருந்தால் நமக்கு விரோதமானவன் யார்?" என்று தேவனுடைய வார்த்தை கூறுகிறது.
தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளாகிய நம்மைச் சத்துரு தாக்க முயற்சிக்கலாம், ஆனால் நம் தேவன் நமக்குச் சுற்றிலும் ஒரு பலத்த கோட்டையாகவும் கேடகமாகவும் நிற்கிறார். அவர் தமது ஜனங்களைத் தமது வல்லமையான பலத்தால் பாதுகாக்கிறார். ஆகையால், நாம் அவருடைய மறைவிலும் பாதுகாப்பிலும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்போது, எந்தத் தீங்கும் நம்மை உண்மையிலேயே சேதப்படுத்த முடியாது.
சிந்திக்க: வாழ்க்கை நிலையற்றதாகவோ அல்லது பாரமாகவோ தோன்றும் நேரங்களிலும்கூட, தேவன் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கிறார் என்று நம்பி, அவருடைய பிரசன்னத்தின் அமைதியான நிச்சயத்தில் இளைப்பாற நான் எப்படிக் கற்றுக்கொள்ளலாம்?

"The LORD is our protector and glorious king, blessing us with kindness and honor. He does not refuse any good thing to those who trust him and do what is right".
