Blog Y3 826 - "Mercy in Hidden Places"

 

And he said: ‘I cried out to the Lord because of my affliction, and He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and You heard my voice.’ Jonah 2:2.

Rebellion is a sin that we, too, sometimes fall into. Just like Jonah, we may continue in our lives comfortably, almost like sleeping, without realizing how we have grieved our God, the One who separated us from the world to fulfill His will and purpose.

But our loving Father will not leave us there. At times, God allows us to enter situations that only we can handle. Just as He allowed Jonah to be in the belly of the great fish, God may also permit circumstances in our lives that bring us to a place where we turn our full attention back to Him.

In the belly of the fish, Jonah cried out to the Lord, and God heard his voice. Jonah not only cried out for help but also praised and acknowledged God’s mercy even in that dark place. In the same way, we too must learn to cry out to God and praise Him, trusting in His mercy and deliverance.

If today you feel like you are in a “belly of the fish” experience, surrounded by darkness, confusion, or difficulty, remember that our God is merciful. The same God who commanded the fish to spit Jonah onto the seashore is able to deliver us and restore us so that we may fulfill His will.

Reflection: Are you lifting your voice to God from the depths of your struggle, believing that His compassion reaches you even in the places no one else sees?

ஆனால் நம்முடைய அன்பான பிதா நம்மை அப்படியே விட்டுவிடமாட்டார். சில நேரங்களில், நாம் மட்டுமே சந்திக்க வேண்டிய சில குறிப்பிட்ட சூழ்நிலைகளுக்குள் நாம் பிரவேசிக்க தேவன் அனுமதிக்கிறார். பெரிய மீனின் வயிற்றில் யோனா இருக்க அவர் எப்படி அனுமதித்தாரோ, அதேபோல நாம் நம்முடைய முழு கவனத்தையும் மீண்டும் அவர் பக்கம் திருப்புவதற்கான ஒரு இடத்திற்கு நம்மைக் கொண்டுவரும் சூழ்நிலைகளை தேவன் நம் வாழ்க்கையிலும் அனுமதிக்கலாம்.

அந்த மீனின் வயிற்றில், யோனா கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டான், தேவன் அவனுடைய சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டார். யோனா உதவிக்காகக் கூப்பிட்டது மட்டுமல்லாமல், அந்த இருண்ட இடத்திலும்கூட தேவனுடைய இரக்கத்தை அறிக்கைசெய்து அவரைத் துதித்தான். அதேபோல, நாமும் தேவனுடைய இரக்கத்திலும் விடுதலையிலும் நம்பிக்கை வைத்து, அவரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடவும் அவரைத் துதிக்கவும் கற்றுக்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

இன்றைக்கு நீங்கள் இருள், குழப்பம் அல்லது கஷ்டங்களால் சூழப்பட்டு, ஒரு "மீனின் வயிற்றில்" இருக்கும் அனுபவத்தில் இருப்பதாக உணர்ந்தால், நம்முடைய தேவன் இரக்கமுள்ளவர் என்பதை நினைவில் கொள்ளுங்கள். யோனாவைக் கரையில் கக்கும்படி மீனுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட அதே தேவன், நாம் அவருடைய சித்தத்தை நிறைவேற்றும்படி நம்மை விடுவிக்கவும், மீண்டும் நம்மைச் சீர்ப்படுத்தவும் வல்லவராக இருக்கிறார்.
