Blog Y3 839 - "Healing Through His Stripes"

Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness, by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24.

Our loving Lord Jesus Christ bore our sins in His own body on the cross. Through His sacrifice, we have died to sin and are called to live for righteousness.

We may have heard many sermons about the cross and the crucifixion of Christ. Truly, it is the triumph of Calvary. Jesus willingly came forward and gave His life for you and for me. This is something we must take personally. Though He died for the whole world, His sacrifice is deeply personal. He gave His life especially for you and for me.

If we were to receive the punishment for each of our sins, we would not be alive today. The very fact that we are still breathing and living is only because of Jesus Christ.

His death was unlike any other. Even the thieves who were crucified beside Him did not shed blood as He did. But Jesus shed His precious blood, for them and for us all. Through His sacrifice, He has brought an end to every curse and every punishment that was meant for us.

Not only that, but His wounds remain a source of healing for us. The Word does not say “you will be healed,” it says “you were healed.” It is already finished. Our healing has already been accomplished through Him.

Reflection: Are you standing boldly on the victory He accomplished, refusing to accept defeat in your body or spirit, knowing His stripes have already declared freedom, strength, and complete healing?

சிலுவையைக் குறித்தும், கிறிஸ்துவின் சிலுவைப்பாடுகளைக் குறித்தும் நாம் பல பிரசங்கங்களைக் கேட்டிருக்கலாம். மெய்யாகவே, அது கல்வாரியின் வெற்றியாகும். இயேசு மனமுவந்து முன்வந்து, உங்களுக்காகவும் எனக்காகவும் தமது ஜீவனைக் கொடுத்தார். இது நாம் ஒவ்வொருவரும் தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் எடுத்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டிய ஒன்றாகும். அவர் முழு உலகத்திற்காகவும் மரித்தபோதிலும், அவருடைய பலி மிகவும் தனிப்பட்டதாகும். அவர் விசேஷமாக உங்களுக்காகவும் எனக்காகவுமே தமது ஜீவனைக் கொடுத்தார்.

நம்முடைய ஒவ்வொரு பாவத்திற்கும் நாம் தண்டனையைப் பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும் என்றால், இன்று நாம் உயிருடன் இருந்திருக்க மாட்டோம். நாம் இன்னும் சுவாசித்துக்கொண்டும் வாழ்ந்துகொண்டும் இருக்கிறோம் என்பதே இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவினால் மட்டும்தான்.

அவருடைய மரணம் மற்ற எவருடைய மரணத்தைப் போன்றதும் அல்ல. அவர் அருகே சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்ட கள்ளர்கள்கூட அவரைப் போல இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தவில்லை. ஆனால் இயேசு அவர்களுக்காகவும் நம் அனைவருக்காகவும் தமது விலையேறப்பெற்ற இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தினார். தமது பலியின் மூலம், நமக்காக வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த ஒவ்வொரு சாபத்திற்கும் ஒவ்வொரு தண்டனைக்கும் அவர் முடிவுகட்டியிருக்கிறார்.

அதுமட்டுமல்ல, அவருடைய காயங்கள் நமக்குக் குணமளிக்கும் ஆதாரமாகவே இருக்கின்றன. "நீங்கள் குணமாவீர்கள்" என்று வசனம் சொல்லவில்லை, "குணமானீர்கள்" என்றே சொல்கிறது. அது ஏற்கனவே முடிந்துவிட்டது. நம்முடைய சுகம் ஏற்கனவே அவர் மூலமாக நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டுவிட்டது.

சிந்திக்க: அவருடைய தழும்புகள் ஏற்கனவே விடுதலையையும், பெலனையும், முழுமையான சுகத்தையும் அறிவித்துவிட்டன என்பதை அறிந்து, உங்கள் சரீரத்திலோ ஆவியிலோ தோல்வியை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள மறுத்து, அவர் சம்பாதித்த வெற்றியின் மீது நீங்கள் தைரியமாக நிற்கிறீர்களா?
