Blog Y3 889 - "Trusting His Promised Covering"

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward. Genesis 15:1.

Our Lord God loved Abraham deeply. He chose Abraham from among idol worshipers and transformed him into His chosen servant. God spoke with him as a friend speaks with a friend.

As Abraham grew old, God desired to make him the father of many nations. In this verse, God gave Abraham two precious promises: protection and reward. He assured Abraham that He would be his shield and his exceedingly great reward.

We are the children of Abraham through faith and the children of God. Therefore, the blessings that God promised to Abraham are also available to us. Just as Abraham needed protection and strength, we too need them every day.

We live in an unstable world. We do not know what the next moment may bring. On our own, we do not have the strength to face trials, temptations, and uncertainties. Yet, the same God who spoke to Abraham speaks to us today. Our Heavenly Father promises to be our Protector and our Strength.

He not only fills us with strength, but He Himself becomes our strength. Because of His presence within us, we can be strong, courageous, and confident to face whatever comes our way. We do not need to live in fear or discouragement.

We are not alone. Our Heavenly Father is with us. He is our Shield, our Protector, and our exceedingly great Reward.

May we trust Him completely and walk boldly in His promises.

Reflection: Are we leaning on God’s strength each day, believing He stands as our protection and reward when life feels uncertain, and our own abilities fall short?

ஆபிரகாமுக்கு வயதானபோது, ​​அவரை அநேக ஜாதிகளுக்குத் தகப்பனாக்க தேவன் விரும்பினார். இந்த வசனத்தில், தேவன் ஆபிரகாமுக்கு இரண்டு விலையுயர்ந்த வாக்குத்தத்தங்களை அளித்தார்: பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் பலன். அவர் அவனுக்குக் கேடகமாகவும், அவனுடைய மகா பெரிய பலனாகவும் இருப்பார் என்று ஆபிரகாமுக்கு உறுதியளித்தார்.

விசுவாசத்தின் மூலம் நாம் ஆபிரகாமின் பிள்ளைகளாகவும், தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளாகவும் இருக்கிறோம். எனவே, தேவன் ஆபிரகாமுக்கு வாக்குத்தத்தம் செய்த ஆசீர்வாதங்கள் நமக்கும் கிடைக்கின்றன. ஆபிரகாமுக்கு எப்படி பாதுகாப்பும் பெலனும் தேவைப்பட்டதோ, அதுபோல நாமும் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் அவைகளைத் தேவைப்படுகிறோம்.

நாம் நிலையற்ற ஒரு உலகில் வாழ்கிறோம். அடுத்த கணம் என்ன நடக்கும் என்று நமக்குத் தெரியாது. சோதனைகள், பாடுகள் மற்றும் நிச்சயமற்ற தன்மைகளை நம் சொந்த பெலத்தால் எதிர்கொள்ள நமக்கு சக்தி இல்லை. ஆயினும், ஆபிரகாமுடன் பேசின அதே தேவன் இன்றும் நம்முடன் பேசுகிறார். நமது பரம பிதா நமக்கு பாதுகாப்பாளராகவும் பெலனாகவும் இருப்பார் என்று வாக்குத்தத்தம் அளிக்கிறார்.

அவர் நம்மை பெலத்தால் நிரப்புவது மட்டுமின்றி, அவரே நமக்கு பெலனாக மாறுகிறார். அவர் நமக்குள்ளே வாசம் செய்வதால், நமக்கு வரக்கூடிய எதையும் எதிர்கொள்ள நாம் உறுதியாகவும், தைரியமாகவும், நம்பிக்கையுடனும் இருக்க முடியும். நாம் பயத்திலோ அல்லது சோர்விலோ வாழ வேண்டியதில்லை.

நாம் தனியாக இல்லை. நமது பரம பிதா நம்முடன் இருக்கிறார். அவரே நமது கேடகம், நமது பாதுகாப்பாளர் மற்றும் நமது மகா பெரிய பலன்.

நாம் அவரை முழுமையாக நம்பி, அவருடைய வாக்குத்தத்தங்களில் தைரியமாக நடப்போமாக.

சிந்திக்க: வாழ்க்கை நிச்சயமற்றதாகத் தோன்றும்போதும், நமது சொந்த திறன்கள் குறைவுபடும்போதும், தேவன் நமது பாதுகாப்பாகவும் பலனாகவும் நிற்கிறார் என்று நம்பி, ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் நாம் தேவனுடைய பெலனைச் சார்ந்திருக்கிறோமா?
