I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. Genesis 12:2. Our God is the Almighty God who is able to lift us up from any condition. No matter how deep the pit may be, it is easy for Him to raise us up, bless us, and establish us according to His perfect plan. However, as we know, God’s promises often require our obedience and trust. Before Abraham received this great promise, God called him to leave his old life behind. He was called to leave his country, his relatives, and everything familiar to him, and to follow God wholeheartedly into an unknown future. The same principle applies to us today. If we desire to experience God’s blessings and promises, we must be willing to surrender our old ways and fully trust Him. We cannot keep one foot in our old life and the other in the new life that God has prepared for us. Such divided dependence will never bring us into the fullness of His plan. Instead, we must completely rely on ou...

Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore, in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs. Isaiah 61:7. Many situations we encounter in life can lead to shameful experiences. Such experiences can hurt us deeply, leaving our lives feeling broken and shattered. At times, we do not know how to come out of those situations or how to forget the pain they have caused. But if we are God’s children, He has given us a wonderful promise. He will bring us out of every shameful situation. Not only that, but He will also restore the joy, peace, and confidence that we have lost. Wherever we have been put to shame, God promises to bless us doubly. He will replace our shame with honor and our sorrow with everlasting joy. Satan may try hard to bring shame into our lives and sink us into deep sorrow and discouragement. There may be times when we feel confused and do not understand what is happening...

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. Psalms 91:5–6. This is a beautiful confession for the days we are living in. Wherever we go, and even when we stay at home, we need God’s protection from everything around us. Nothing is truly in our control, but everything is in God’s control. He sees all things clearly, even the hidden plans and strategies of the enemy. We are the cherished ones before Him, and nothing can touch us without His permission. Morning, daytime, noon, or the darkest hours of the night, even in the moments we cannot see or understand, our God promises that He will never remove His protection from us. Terror, pestilence, destruction, none of these can come near us. For that, there are some simple conditions: We must come under the shadow of His wings. We must hide in the secret place of the Most High. This means choosing to remain...

Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. 2 Thessalonians 3:16. Our God has many wonderful names, and among them, “God of Peace” is one of the most beautiful names for this troubled and imperfect world. This verse speaks personally to each one of us. At times, we lose our peace without even knowing the reason. At other times, the enemy tries to disturb and steal the peace that God has given us. Yet, we have a Heavenly Father whose very nature is peace. *The Prince of Peace is not only with us, He lives within us*. Our God is the One who gives us peace in our hearts at all times. His peace is unshakable and enduring. Nothing and no one can take away the peace that He gives. Even in the midst of chaos, confusion, and uncertainty, His divine peace rules and guards our hearts. This peace does not come from worldly pleasures, possessions, or circumstances. It is His peace, a heavenly gift, a divine peace. Jesus Himself said that He does ...

For by me your days will be multiplied, and years of life will be added to you. Proverbs 9:11. Yes, our Heavenly Father desires to bless us with long life so that we may glorify His name. Before that, however, He wants us to be filled with the fear of the Lord rather than the fear of the things of this world. He also wants us to know who He is and who we are in Him. Until we discover this truth, the enemy may try to deceive and discourage us. But when we come to understand this powerful reality, nothing will be able to shake us. We will stand firm in faith and confidently walk in God’s purpose for our lives. The Lord desires that our lives be long so that we may serve as His ambassadors on earth. He adds years to our lives and keeps us safe so that we can live for Him and proclaim the Gospel. Our lifespan is extended not for our own glory or pleasure, but for His glory and His kingdom. God allows us to remain in this world to accomplish the good work He has begun in and through us. The...

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward. Genesis 15:1. Our Lord God loved Abraham deeply. He chose Abraham from among idol worshipers and transformed him into His chosen servant. God spoke with him as a friend speaks with a friend. As Abraham grew old, God desired to make him the father of many nations. In this verse, God gave Abraham two precious promises: protection and reward. He assured Abraham that He would be his shield and his exceedingly great reward. We are the children of Abraham through faith and the children of God. Therefore, the blessings that God promised to Abraham are also available to us. Just as Abraham needed protection and strength, we too need them every day. We live in an unstable world. We do not know what the next moment may bring. On our own, we do not have the strength to face trials, temptations, and uncertainties. Yet, the same God who spoke to Abrah...

Blog Y3 888 - "Thankful for His Daily Gifts"

Image
You have granted me life and favor, and Your care has preserved my spirit. Job 10:12. Job lost almost everything in his life, yet the Bible says that he never blamed God for his suffering. Instead, he humbly thanked and praised God for what he still had at that moment. He thanked God for the gift of life, remembered His loving kindness, and cherished the breath and spirit God had preserved within him. Though he had lost so much, he remained grateful to our Heavenly Father for these precious blessings. In our own lives, we also go through struggles, though perhaps not as severe as Job’s. Yet we often murmur and complain without realizing the countless blessings God has already granted us. We have shelter, food, and water, while so many people in this world do not have even these basic needs. Instead of thanking God for what we have, we often focus on what we lack. God desires that we thank and glorify Him for the blessings He has already given us. Just as God restored Job, He is also ab...

See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me. Isaiah 49:16. If someone were to draw our name or picture on the palm of their hand, it would show deep and desperate love. Such things happen very rarely. Yet even if someone draws our picture on their palm, human love can change. They may easily erase it, even from their memory. That is the nature of human love. But our loving Father God loves us deeply and truly. He has engraved our names and drawn our faces upon the palms of His hands, showing how deeply and eternally He loves us. He always desires to see us and cares even about the smallest details of our lives. He never changes His mind concerning us. His love for us is constant, and we are continually remembered by Him. He will never leave us nor forsake us. His covenant with us will never be broken. Wherever we go, He goes with us. Whatever we face, He stands beside us. Every wall that seems great and impossible before us is continua...
